She didn't go to court with the intent of sharing a sob story, it just happened in the questioning and she was already at the breaking edge of herself...

He should have reduced it to $5.00 and left her with $50.00... to make her feel like she justifiably paid her fines.

Agreed. Her life remains a sad daily burden. Many lives are. Reminds me of the people who put stuff on "Layaway" at Wal-Mart.

We should feel more content with and grateful for what WE have in our own lives...
