Wranglers?

I struggled to replace my last pairs o jeans, Local merchant chinese sourced. Still in good order but volume displacement discrepancy renders them obsolete. Could not find anything else so ..... found they still make a good jean. But I don't like buying them for other reasons.

I think I found somewhere that sells Wranglers but it's a journey. They used to be big in the farmers co-ops but there's only really one of those near the city now. I'd go RM Williams if I had the folding.

Wranglers?

I have a pair of wranglers that I wear to work. This pair just won't die. I once went through 2 pairs of levis, in one week, at work. This pair of wranglers just seems to last forever.

They make a good long living pair of pants, for working people. Levis, let them have the fashion girly boy trend, that's their goal.

Why were you buying products from (((Levi Strauss))) & Company in the first place? Levi's have been faggy for a long time:

1982: The Levi Strauss Foundation became the first corporate donor to help open the first AIDS clinic in the world, at San Francisco General Hospital.

1987: We added AZT, a prescription medication used to treat HIV infection, to our healthcare coverage plan.

Look for Aryan-run VF Corporation's Lee or Wrangler jeans. Or:

Oh, and the story of Levi's is just another Jewish co-option of someone else's invention:

Later, Levi Strauss, the man, partnered with Jacob Davis to invent the blue jean. - http://www.levi.com/US/en_US/about/our-company

Nope. "Blue jean" comes from "bleu de Genes" - French for "blue" (clothing) from Genoa, Italy. And "denim" from de Nīmes - French for "from Nīmes, France." Levi Strauss and his Jewish partner, Jacob Davis, like so many Jews, didn't invent shit, but used the (((legal))) system to claim ownership by patenting riveted clothing in 1873, over seven decades after "bleu de Genes" debuted.

Levi’s Places Pro-Homosexual “Marriage” Ribbon on New Jeans

SAN FRANCISCO, May 28, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Levi Strauss & Co., the jeans manufacturer that has long been a leader in corporate support for the homosexual activist movement, has come out with a new marketing scheme that may dupe consumers who buy their products into displaying support for same-sex "marriage."

Company owned stores in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco will be displaying their summer line-up of jeans and shirts adorned with "White Knots for Equality," a symbol that denotes support for homosexual "marriage."

The symbol, a white ribbon tied in a knot, was developed by Frank Voci, the owner of a California media company, to capitalize on the opposition to the passage of Proposition 8, the California voter-approved constitutional marriage amendment. The knotted white cloth mimics the various ribbon campaigns such as the pink ribbon for breast cancer campaign.

Commenting on the company’s amalgamation of marketing and political activism, senior vice president for global creative services for Levi’s, Rene Holguin, said, "Our design team was seeking something that would resonate beyond just fashion but also fit with our white product theme."

The staff members of the stores that are displaying the clothing with white knots have been instructed to engage customers with explanations of the homosexual agenda symbol, hoping that customers will be educated through an “informed conversation."

"We have weekly calls with our store managers and we sent out detailed information about the White Knot organization and also ways in which we’re supporting marriage equality overall as a company," Levi’s director of brand marketing and public relations, Erica Archambault, told the New York Times. She added that she wants sales staff "to be educated and able to have an informed conversation that’s more interactive than reading off a card or something."

San Francisco-based Levi Strauss was the first Fortune 500 company to extend health benefits to homosexual couples and was a major financial supporter of the "No On Prop 8 Equality Business Council," which was formed to oppose efforts to define marriage as being between one man and one woman in the California constitution.

The company gave $25,000 to Equality for All, the coalition leading the No on 8 campaign, while Robert Haas, the company’s chairman emeritus and his wife gave a further $100,000, according to a company spokesman.

A report by Business Wire states that the Levi Strauss Foundation announced yesterday that it will make a $25,000 donation to the National Center For Lesbian Rights (NCLR) and $25,000 to The San Francisco LGBT Community Center (“The Center”).

NCLR was the lead counsel on the effort to overturn Proposition 8 in the California Supreme Court.

“The Center” is a homosexual drop-in facility that "organizes and plans the political and cultural future for the LGBT community" in San Francisco.

Where I live there are a lot of cowboys who wear 501 Levi shrink to fit jeans because they fit better than wranglers. They don't know anything about queers or want anything to do with them.

I often wear the 501's with button flys for the same reason. I prefer button flys over the wranglers with zippers. I also wear wrangler shirts and jackets because they fit good and are made of denim and wear well. Same thing with carhart clothing it's heavy and built for work.

If you imply someone is a queer around here because of their choice of jeans you'll most likely be told to fuck off and maybe get your ass beat.

Haven't worn em' in years. Used to be a VF factory and outlet store just north of here in Monroeville, AL selling Lee's. I've got a couple pairs with "earned, worn" holes in them that gotta be 20 + years old.

I see all these ones with "manufactured" holes, and think "man I could make a small fortune with a utility knife".

I think I would have noticed if the ones I bought were looking like those. 1st pair in maybe 20 years after my regular place only has sizes to 36" now. It was a torment but there was nothing else around. I'm nearly back to my regular 34". Good thing cause I got vouchers to spend.

If I cut the labels off and have them exorcised can I get some salvation or are they irredeemable? Not even sure what I paid. Wouldn't be regular price for sure. I'm not that kind of person.

I completely forgot about Lees....I might just start wearing bibbed coveralls.

The best pants, bar none, are the firehose pants from Duluth Trading. Those are the top in workpants, far surpassing even Carhartts, imo.

They don't advertise it anymore, but a life time guarantee...if you destroy them, we replace them. I've paid for 2 pairs, and have used up 10 now I think. I just sent in 2 pairs of shredded pants and am hoping for a timely replacement. I got close to 2 years of hard use out of the last couple of pairs, pretty impressive.

Plus, they have a gusseted crotch, which means more room for your boys while moving about. 501's don't do that.

Jeans really don't make good work pants, regardless of the brand. Denim doesn't last nor protect you much either.

Cruising picking up bitches I want my nads to be up front and supported. Working tho you are 100% correct you need breathing room. So you need 2 pairs of a multiple part of each in case you shit yourself. Once they make bullet proof pants I will grab them.

Old jeans were more rip stop proof, but also the material was more heavy, new ones will rip on you, my newest pair are close to or over 10 years young, I am still wearing some that are very close to 25 years young. Also I have a shit load that I can not get into any more, 6'-2 3/4" 240 - 250 lbs dam close to a 40" belt line. but not much fat more like age rearranging shit. Anyone remember the old wire frames used to keep wet jeans hold their shape and help on shrinkage along for other reasons.? (mostly back in the day of cloths lines and air drying) 9074

Also ironing boards and irons.. ;D

Biggest weak thing for most is that unlike the older jeans is if you snag them they will rip. Here mostly and a bunch of true cowboys walk and talk there I live dam close to our rodeo arena 600 yards near on the money.

Look up the Gladewater round up rodeo. think it is still listed high in the national ratings.

Jeans are jeans they ether work or don't...full stop!

The fucking label does not count nor mean anything , especially in some thoughts in this thread.

Some people in this world have entirety too much idle time in their life's ..shit get real people !

Better things to bitch, and mone and groan about than fucking jeans.

Wrangler

Surprised to see Wrangler here? You shouldn’t be. Wrangler is one of the best-known brands of jeans in the world for a reason: they perform well, especially for those with active lifestyles. If you’re already wearing them, you know why they deserve to be included on this list of the best jeans for men.

Some history will help… The first pair of Wrangler western jeans was introduced to the American public in 1947. Cowboys and rodeo competitors up to that time had often worn Levis jeans, but found Levis inadequate for the unique demands of steer wrestling, roping, bull riding, etc. So the Blue Bell Company, known for manufacturing tough workwear and overalls, teamed up with western clothing tailor Bernard Lichtenstein (better known as “Rodeo Ben”) to create a pair of denim jeans that would satisfy the needs of real cowboys. That first pair of Wrangler jeans was designated “Cowboy Cut 13MWZ.” You can still get them from Wrangler today.

Rodeo Ben consulted with working cowboys and rodeo champions to get the details right on that initial pair of jeans, going through 13 different prototypes. He wanted the jeans to be tough and durable. He wanted them to allow freedom of movement and to incorporate a number of design elements that cowboys preferred. The end result was a versatile and unique pair of jeans.
One of the most successful and best styles of men's jeans of all time is the Wrangler 13MWZ Cowboy Cut Original Fit Jeans, available direct from Wrangler by clicking here.
Wrangler 13MWZ Original Fit Jeans

Broken twill denim provided the toughness. There were five pockets, including back pockets that were higher and deeper so as to hold stuff while riding on horseback. There were 7 belt loops, with more space between the two front loops to allow for wearing wide western belt buckles. The watch pocket was put in a different place, and flat rivets were used (which would not scratch a saddle when you were sitting on it). The jeans were sewn with double seams, and a tapered cut that would fit snugly over boots (“boot cut” has little to do with cowboy boots). The large zipper could be grabbed by a cowboy wearing gloves (MWZ stands for “Men’s Western Zipper”). A number of these innovations were used for the first time ever in a pair of men’s blue jeans.

Rodeo Ben’s denim jeans were a hit with cowboys. Jim Shoulders, World Champion Cowboy at that time, agreed to endorse Wrangler jeans. Known as the “Babe Ruth of Rodeo,” he went on to win 16 World Championships, including 7 Bull Riding World Titles, and his relationship as an official endorser of Wrangler lasted until his death in 2007 at the age of 79 — a 58-year partnership with the brand, the longest sports licensing endorsement in the history of professional sports. Wrangler also became the official brand of the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association.

As a result of this success, Wrangler was in large part responsible for launching the craze for western wear across the world.

Today, Wrangler jeans continue to be worn by professional cowboys, including 8-time World Champion All-Around Cowboy Trevor Brazile, bareback rider Kaycee Feild, and Trevor Knowles, champion steer-wrestler.

Wrangler now offers over 100 styles of jeans, including 20X, which is an edgier, fashion-oriented style, Riggs Workwear (flame-resistant jeans), PBR (for professional bull riders and cowboys), and cuts endorsed by George Strait and Jason Aldean (a retro style).

I like a number of Wrangler styles but the jeans that first converted me to Wrangler were the Wrangler Five Star Premium Denim. After deciding I was no longer satisfied with Levi’s or Gap jeans on the affordable end of the price spectrum, I tried this inexpensive (under $20) Wrangler pair of jeans. I found them durable and well-made, and you can’t beat the price.

Wrangler.com
Wrangler 13MWZ jeans for men are some of the most rugged and versatile jeans you can get.
Me in my Wrangler 13MWZ jeans, winter

Here I should say a word about Levis. Levi’s is an iconic brand. They brought out the first pair of riveted blue jeans in 1873. I grew up wearing Levi’s jeans and wore them as an adult for a number of years. But in the last 15 years or so, the quality of Levi’s has gone downhill. The fits are no longer consistent — you can try on 5 pairs of the same size of 501’s and get 5 different fits. Sometimes the seams are twisted. And the pockets started wearing out quickly, developing holes. I like to carry things in the pockets of my jeans. Since I’m a writer, I carry a pen, and often have a folding knife. And keys, of course, like most people. The pockets would wear out before the jeans wore out, which was inconvenient and annoying.

So I tried Wrangler jeans and had none of those problems. Wrangler’s less expensive jeans lasted longer than the more expensive Levi’s. They fit better, were cut more consistently, had a cooler look after washing and fading, and the pockets never once wore out. I now recommend Wrangler. If you’ve noticed the decline in quality of Levi’s jeans, save some green and give Wranglers a try.

According to Booted Harleydude, who writes about boots, leather clothing, and riding motorcycles, among other things, this is why Wranglers are better than Levi’s:

“Cowboys, especially those who ride horses, and bikers (those who ride iron horses), prefer Wranglers because the heavier, ‘rolled’ seam on Wranglers is on the outside of the legs (to reduce rubbing in the saddle) while Levis have the heavier, bulkier seam on the inside of the legs. The seam can rub against the leg while riding a horse or motorcycle. Levis were popular years ago. But since their production was moved outside the U.S. in 1996, the quality is not in the product like it once was. And designer jeans? FuggetAboutIt. Unless you’re on a fashion runway, save your money and get Wranglers. Masculine men — gay or straight — wear regular-old straight-legged blue jeans. (Don’t even ask about how silly baggy and low-rise jeans look on adult men.)”

Which brings up the question of fit. My build is slim and athletic (think mile runner rather than linebacker) and all Levi’s styles were a bit dumpy-looking on me. They tended to pucker and sag in the wrong places. When I tried Wranglers, I found styles that suited my body type. That’s one of the important things to figure out when you’re shopping for a brand of jeans that works for you.
Women say, "Wrangler butts drive me nuts." Men could say it, too. Click to see the newest products at Wrangler.com.
Wrangler Jeans improve everyone’s view.

How will Wranglers make you look? Well, it’s no accident that there’s a well-known saying among women who like to check out men in jeans: “Wrangler butts drive me nuts.” You already know your jeans should fit your butt (women notice your ass as much as you notice theirs, you know). Wrangler fits the bill, appearance-wise. For example, check out this post, from Confessions of a Corn Fed Girl.

At the lower price point, there’s a lot of competition among well-known brands when it comes to the quality of denim and manufacturing consistency. Wrangler successfully balances quality and cost. You just need to find the style(s) of Wrangler jeans that suit your body type. Fortunately, the Wrangler website and other good Wrangler retailers online have a lot of info about fit.
Wrangler offers a wide selection of men's jeans, including camouflage jeans for hunting.
Wrangler ProGear Camo Jeans

You can get Wrangler jeans direct from Wrangler here. They have a large selection of styles, and reliable customer service, along with attractive prices. Take a look at their customer reviews. If you sign up for their email, you’ll get free shipping — and you’ll always get free shipping on orders over $100. By the way, Wrangler also carries a good selection of men’s shirts and jackets, too — even jeans for hunting and other outdoor activities (Wrangler ProGear). Remember what I said about “active lifestyle?” They’ve got it covered.

Harrison Ford in his Wrangler 13MWZ jeans

So, for those who might ask: who else wears Wrangler jeans besides world champion cowboys and George Strait? Well, Harrison Ford wears Wrangler 13MWZ jeans in the movie Extraordinary Measures, where he plays a kickass medical researcher. And in his personal life, he also wore Wranglers at his wedding to Calista Flockhart.

Speaking of “kickass,” Chuck Norris wears Wrangler jeans. He doesn’t endorse them. Doesn’t need to. Wears them simply because, as he says, “They fit the best for when I need to kick butt.”

The 501's fit me best and the wrangler story can't bullshit me to think otherwise. The wranglers are not comfortable for me. I have a pair of quilted wranglers I sometimes wear in winter but mostly I wear quilted carhardts in the winter. When I'm horseback I always wear 501's because they are the most comfortable and they don't ride up my leg like others seem to.

I have lots of wrangler shirts because they do fit well and are denim that wear well. I like them better than any others.

I don't like Jews, niggers or queers and I avoid them as much as possible. I wear what I like and I don't feel the need to prove anything to anyone. I've had plenty of women compliment me on my butt when I'm wearing 501's and I'm respected for my ability to ride, rope and work cattle among working cowboys. That's good enough for me.
