Coming soon, amnesty signed by Trump...

http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/338117-trump-breaks-campaign-promise-to-deport-dreamers

The Homeland Security Department announced on Thursday that it would keep in place the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy, allowing undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children to remain in the country.

The decision breaks a key campaign promise by Trump to "immediately terminate" the DACA program and stands at odds with the president's vows to crackdown on illegal immigration.

In an announcement posted on the DHS website Thursday night, the department said that the memo that created DACA "will remain in effect." A fact sheet posted along with the announcement reaffirmed that the program's original provisions would remain in place.

"DACA recipients will continue to be eligible as outlined in the June 15, 2012, memorandum. DACA recipients who were issued three-year extensions before the district court’s injunction will not be affected, and will be eligible to seek a two-year extension upon their expiration," the fact sheet reads. "No work permits will be terminated prior to their current expiration dates."

The program impacts about 800,000 people in the U.S., and while Trump has suggested since taking office that he would not seek to deport DACA recipients, the DHS decision on Thursday quells concerns that the administration could do away with the policy.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Honestly, I know a lot of people had high hopes that Trump was going to save our country, but he really doesn't have the will or desire to defend our country from invaders.

Trump has already done more to shut down illegals then any other candidate or president would have. No credit?
What do you think would happen if he rescinded DACA, DAPA and deported all illegals in one fell swoop? A violent revolt?

Trump Administration Rescinds Order Aimed At Protecting Undocumented Parents From Deportation
Known as DAPA, the program would have allowed the undocumented parents of American children and legal residents to remain in the country.

Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly on Thursday put an official end to an immigration order created under former President Obama that would have allowed undocumented parents of citizens and legal residents to remain in the country for three years.

The plan was never implemented and was put in a permanent state of limbo after 26 states challenged the order. In October, the US Supreme Court declined a request from the Obama administration to rehear the case.

The Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents, or DAPA, could have affected millions of undocumented immigrants with children in the US who are citizens or legal residents.

Those who have lived in the US since at least Jan. 1, 2010, would have been allowed to apply for permission to work.

Texas Democrats criticized the decision, saying it would harm American families.

"President Trump has chosen to separate American children from their parents, causing harm and suffering," Rep. Joaquin Castro Castro told BuzzFeed News.

"Today's action by the administration is not surprising," Rep. Filemon Vela, said. "But that does not make it any less vicious, especially on the 5th anniversary of DACA. The President is affirming his virulent racism by systemically tearing families of color apart."

Like the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, it did not create a path of citizenship for those affected, but would have taken the possibility of deportation off the table for at least three years for law-abiding immigrants who have established roots in the US.

Legislators who supported Obama's immigration policies, said the decision suggested President Trump, despite his previous promises, would not be focusing his deportation-focused policies on immigrants with criminal histories.

"The President said that he was only going after immigrant criminals," California Congressman Luis Correa told BuzzFeed News. "Now he has made it clear that he is going after honest, hard-working taxpaying moms and dads."

Kelly, an appointee of President Trump, rescinded the 2014 order on the five-year anniversary of the implementation of the DACA program.

The order, the statement noted, was placed on hold under a decision from the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas. The Fifth District Court of Appeals upheld that court's decision, and the Supreme Court declined to hear the case, leaving the decision in place.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a leading critic of Obama's immigration initiatives, applauded the Trump administration's decision to roll back back the program.

"I am proud to have led a 26-state coalition that went all the way to the Supreme Court to block this unlawful edict," Paxton said in a statement. "The Obama Administration's DAPA immigration edict was a violation of law and the separation of powers."

According to the statement from DHS, the order was withdrawn after Kelly consulted with the Department of Justice and determined "there is no credible path forward to litigate" the order.

The DACA program will remain in place, the statement read.

Kelly's decision came as no surprise to immigration right's advocates, considering the Trump's administration's stance to increase the number of deportations and widen the net of undocumented immigrants considered a priority for deportation.

The decision not to defend the DAPA order in court, however, has continued to feed immigration advocates' concerns over what the Trump administration might do with respect to DACA.

"Although DAPA has been barred from implementation by the injunction issued in an unsupportable legal action filed by Texas and two dozens other states, the withdrawal of DAPA has symbolic importance," Thomas A. Saenz, president and legal counsel for the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund said in a statement. "Secretary Kelly could have acted on another day."

The decision, Saenz noted, also came on the same day the Supreme Court issued its decision on Plyler v. Doe, which said undocumented students should receive an education in US public schools.

No president in history has had this kind of push-back from so many and yet he's still accomplished more then most presidents in the little time he's been in office.

Instead of always complaining, you can make a difference.

One of President Donald Trump’s central (and most controversial) campaign promises was to shut down the flow of immigrants illegally crossing into the United States, especially from Mexico.
Newly released figures show Trump appears to be making good on his promise.

An analysis by the Daily Caller News Foundation (http://dailycaller.com/2017/06/09/us-mexico-border-apprehensions-fell-64-last-month/) found that from February through May in 2016, 188,000 people were caught attempting to illegally enter the United States from Mexico.
During the same period in 2017, only 76,000 were captured or deemed inadmissible, a decline of 59 percent.

In May alone, the number caught in 2017 was less than half (19,967) that recorded in 2016 (55,442), a truly remarkable turnaround considering Trump’s much-talked-about border wall has still yet to be financed by Congress.

“They’ve done more than any administration in the history of the world,” Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton told the Daily Caller. (http://dailycaller.com/2017/06/09/texas-ag-trump-has-done-more-to-stop-illegal-immigration-than-any-other-in-world-history/)

“So, I’m pretty happy that they’ve done so much in such a short period of time so it would really be difficult for me to criticize them on that issue because there’s no comparison with any other administration as far as how quickly and effectively they’ve approached the problem on many different fronts,” Paxton also said.

In May, Ronald Vitiello, the chief of the U.S. Border Patrol, told a Senate Judiciary subcommittee the decline is due to Trump’s January executive orders mandating a shift in policy and resources on the border.

“As a result of the executive orders issued by the president, and the implementing policies issued by the secretary, as well as earlier policy changes and the significant investments we have made in border-enforcement personnel, technology, and infrastructure, we are seeing a historic shift in illegal crossings along the southwest border,” Vitiello said, according to the Washington Examiner. And? We allow crime to go on because we fear criminal resistance?

Open revolt by the invaders would be a wonderful scenario. It would empower Trump to bypass "court action" due to a national emergency. And you know what? Despite my disgust for his hypocrisy, I'd be on-board supporting him if he was actually doing something right, like dealing with them.

U.S. Quietly Lifts Limit on Number of Refugees Allowed In

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/26/us/politics/united-states-refugees-trump.html

Despite repeated efforts by President Trump to curtail refugee resettlements, the State Department this week quietly lifted the department’s restriction on the number of refugees allowed to enter the United States.

The result could be a near doubling of refugees entering the country, from about 830 people a week in the first three weeks of this month to well over 1,500 people per week by next month, according to refugee advocates. Tens of thousands of refugees are waiting to come to the United States.

The State Department’s decision was conveyed in an email on Thursday to the private agencies in countries around the world that help refugees manage the nearly two-year application process needed to enter the United States.

In her email, Jennifer L. Smith, a department official, wrote that the refugee groups could begin bringing people to the United States “unconstrained by the weekly quotas that were in place.”

Quoted for truth from somewhere on the interwebs just for Fred:

I believe that traditional parties are dead here and they are dead in Europe. The world is becoming very polarized. On one side we have heavy hitters like Putin, Chinese communists, Erdogan, and on the opposite side we have weakened globalists who are losing ground and running out of money they can get from ever increasing taxes and fees. This is a fact. We all pretend that we have our traditional safety nets (FBI, CIA, NATO, etc.) but those are also crumbling down and quite useless. Trump is a beginning. We sometimes do not realize how slow politics can be. For example, NATO did get Trump's message about paying more for their defense but it will take them another 5-10 years to contribute what they should to their common defense.

Our future will not be about 2 parties and people we know today.

That's showing a decline in illegals caught, not illegals attempting to enter. The distinction is important. If the amount of illegals attempting entry hasn't changed, this report simply shows that less of them are being captured!

oh, then these ranchers are just telling fake stories. Thank you for correcting the error.
Border rancher: Illegal crossings down 90% since Trump became president

Arizona ranchers John Ladd and Fred Davis invited House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi to see the southern border from their property, but she never responded. But they responded this morning to Pelosi’s recent claim that the border wall is “immoral, expensive, unwise.”
Appearing on Fox & Friends on Tuesday, Ladd said border crossings by illegal aliens have decreased 90% to 95% since Donald Trump took office.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BSuSFWzlg0

Perhaps more shockingly, Ladd has determined through Border Patrol data that some 500,000 illegal aliens have crossed his property in the 30 years he’s owned it.
Davis disputed Pelosi’s notion that a wall would divide border towns.
“All the communities that I know about, all the cities along the border, already have high fences,” he told co-host Steve Doocy, disputing Pelosi’s argument.
“Where the wall is necessary is in a lot of the outlying areas that still only have a four-wire barbed-wire fence between Mexico and us.”
Davis said the wall, which he said is one tool, is necessary to stop drug cartels and other criminals from entering the U.S.
“You’ve got to put boots on the ground to make it effective, and that’s been part of the problem on what places they have a wall now,” he said.

Either some people are in denial, or they are too stupid to understand the implications of DACA.

The "800,000" DACA Schemers are prime breeding age: they will produce a minimum of three or four offspring each, all "American citizens." Simultaneously, most of them are attending US colleges, at US citizen taxpayer expense, gaining skills and "prestige" - to combat America. They are a Fifth Column that the most diabolical enemies dream of.

Within a generation, the DACA Schemers will be the vanguard in "fundamentally changing" America into a Third World state. Obama started it, and Trump will finish it. It's a fait accompli. We're fucked. We're done.

Ok, to be fair to Trump, it looks like he simply hasn't acted on DACA yet, one way or the other. It is simply been left alone to this point.

Removing DACA will cause the biggest backlash, so I can understand how dismantling other immigration programs first make sense.
