Here is an excerpt from a recent email I sent to an online friend.

There is a big difference in the EQUALITY that Christ offers each of us

and the

equality that Saul D. Alinksy offers us.

"The whole "equality" thing is totally distorted from what our Constitution and Bill of Rights and founders intended. We all have an equal Creator-endowed right to the PURSUIT of happiness. We are not guaranteed happiness or what looks like "equality" to many on the surface. Life appears not fair at all.

Here is how I interpret "equality" for the Christian. It is not about being equal in the "goods" of this world. It is about having a soul and having an equal shot at getting to heaven.

1 Corinthians 10:13
Douay-Rheims Bible

Let no temptation take hold on you, but such as is human. And God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that which you are able: but will make also with temptation issue, that you may be able to bear it.

1 Corinthians 10:13
King James Bible

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

God commands us to treat others as we treat ourselves. If everyone followed that in Godly manner, universal equality would exist.

Alas, fallen man cannot and will not apply that universally.

The best we can aspire to is, yes, equality of access to Jesus Christ. The dead-broke man without a home, but with Jesus Christ, is richer than all of the world's "atheist" wealthy men put together.
