House with Confederate flag stormed in AL, two males beaten and killed

On July 23rd, two black males stormed a home in Piedmont, AL. Two white males, a grandfather, and his grandson were beaten and shot to death. A female hid and was not found by the attackers.

The victims are Joshua Moody 23, and Travis Frost, 73.

Police have identified two black males and black female who are suspects. One of the males and the female were just captured at an Econo Lodge in Petersburg, VA.

Police have not yet released any details. However, the victims had a Confederate flag on their porch. Piedmont is 85% white and only 10% black. The suspects are all from Anniston, AL, which is 52% black.

However unfortunate for the victims this is actually a very useful and notable bit of info. In the future a Confederate battle flag could be used as a varmint lure.

According to NBC-10 in Philly, some of the estimated 400 teens gathered at the Lonnie Young Recreation Center for the 7:30 p.m. cookout began throwing bottles and rocks at Philadelphia police officers attempting to control the scene.

It was a repeat of a similar incident at the same location earlier this summer.

So much so, those posting about the mayhem on social media dubbed it "Cookout Pt. 2," NBC-10 noted.

According to the news station, at least one officer was hit by a bottle, though not seriously injured, and two police vehicles were vandalized.

Meanwhile, three teens were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
