To kick it off, here's a couple of related questions for any and all Flat Earthers out there: If there are no satellites in space above the earth, then exactly how do satellite dishes or GPS work?? How about satellite phones?? ???

If the moon is supposedly a disc, then why is there a CURVED shadow (indicating a spherical moon) cast on the moon by the earth during the moon phases?? And WHY do the craters on the edge appear elliptical and cast shadows (also indicating the moon is spherical and not flat)??

Another question for you Flat Earthers - how come you guys can't agree on the finer points of this theory of yours, e.g. is the moon a sphere or a disc??

I'm seriously concerned there is something esoteric or occult going on to convince lots of good people (our own mamboni is one of the true believers now) that these delusions are factual. It is beyond my ability to conceive of how anyone of any reasonable level of knowledge and wisdom could swallow such crap. I have, indeed, deeply pondered the makeup of Earth and "the heavens," and I don't believe, by any means, all that NASA, et. al. spews, but a spherical Earth is self-evident from plainly observable evidence available to anyone.

My question for flat earthers:

Why do the planets move the way they do? If they are revolving around the sun, it is dirt simple. If they are just moving in the sky relative to earth, they move in extremely complicated epicycles with no obvious explanation.

The reason I bring up this point is because anybody can go outside and look at the planets and see they move in epicycles. No telescope, mathematics, electronics, rulers, compasses, watches, video footage, textbooks, nothing is required to see this except your own two eyes.

through a home-telescope, I saw venus and mars, they were spherical. The moon and the sun are too... so why would earth be flat?

if earth was flat, seasons wouldnt be reversed as they are now in both hemispheres.

True story
About a week couple weeks ago, I arrived at a stop I make on a route I run.
The older man (than me) 60's was standing there at the back door about high NOON and pointed up and said, LOOK at that moon.
I turned around and there was the moon with the SUN not that far away from it.
So, according to the narrative that the earth is supposedly casting a "shadow" on the moon, how was it that the moon ONLY had a crescent light AT THE TOP ONLY!!
It was NOT FULLY LIGHT UP as it SHOULD have been if it is the EARTH is what is supposed to be casting this "shadow" (< it's not a shadow)
I pointed this out to this older man and he NEVER even noticed this until I brought it up and when I mentioned that the earth could NOT possibly be casting that (supposed shadow) he responded with "I NEVER HEARD THAT BEFORE" (naturally).

Give us a sound, factual Bible-based reason that God did not make the Earth a sphere that rotates to create gravity.

A huge sphere "hanging upon nothing" (Job 26:7) flying through vast space around a huge nuclear fusion reactor, in precise harmony to sustain life on this planet, is a testament to God's inconceivable greatness.

A flat, circular table with legs is far less impressive.
