Don't know if any of you guys shoot but if they're going to use those rotary magazines in their ARs just take cover and wait for their rifle to jam, then return fire!

Only leftists have the ability to make tactical gear and guns look fruity.

Actually that appears to be a Magpul D60 and those are pretty reliable.

Remember, the first to get shots on target generally wins the fight. I've not seen any with optics on their EBRs.

I don't scrimp on optics.

If you find yourself in a fair fight then your tactics suck.

So when is CNN or MSNBC going to post that picture of the armed lefties and call them a terrorist organization? I'll be holding my breath a long time...

This is the setup for NV using the SpecterDR, in this photo the 1x & 4x SpecterDR is used with the L3 CNVD-LR pictured below. As far as NV goes it doesn't get any better than this for us lowly civilians. Thermal is a different story however thermal gives less resolution for IFF purposes.

Raytheon makes the Specter series of riflescopes. (Yeah, I hold my nose when acquiring one). The glass is awesome and as good as it gets. They are built like a tank. Be advised before you purchase one though, Chinese 'Airsoft' versions are all over the place. Was in a friend's gun shop the other day and they had one on consignment for like $2k. The moment he took it out of the display case to show me, even before it handed it to me, I told him, "That's a Chinese clone!" He had no idea, the seller told him it was genuine. Also saw one listed on feebay for big $, I messaged the seller and advised it was was a clone - he assured me it was not; a week later he re-listed it as an Airsoft clone! If you're serious about getting one make sure you know what the clones look like (the clones have both green and red dots, a genuine SpecterDR only has both a red dot or an illuminated reticle). The Chinese ONLY knock-off the SpecterDR 1x & 4x from what I've seen, have never seen them do a 1.5x & 6x version knock-off. Don't care much for the crappy back-up iron sights on top. The only other scope I would consider as a substitute for what a SpecterDR does is the IOR Valdada Pitbull.

Death waits in the darkness. Plus there are some EXTREMELY unpleasant cold pricklies in store for knuckleheads (of all stripes) that doesn't involve bloodshed, projectiles, edged weapons, etc. or even getting upclose and personal yet their world will never be the same. Initially the dopes won't even realize they've been had. (No, it does NOT involve CBN stuff)

Did I mention EXTREMELY unpleasant?

The SpecterDR/CNVD-LR combo is even better than this image from an ACOG behind the CNVD-LR -

Best price i can find for the DR 1.5x/6x up here is $3300.00 and you can add 5% tax on that.

My Aimpoint pro is going to have to do for now.

The Aimpoint PRO is a great value. It's also NV compatible.

The SpecterDR 1x & 4x is substantially less than the 1.5x & 6x, and it's more compact. I have both, the 1x & 4x I lucked into for 900 - guy needed cash like right now. I'd never even handled one at that point, I was taking a chance on it. Glad I did.

Found one online here for $2800.00 so there is $500.00 saved.

https://www.gptactical.com/en/products/optics-laser-equipment/p17727795.html

Shouldn't really complain i guess as one of these bad boys will run you $9000.00 US.

Sold a couple since last time i checked, who the hell would be shelling out that to buying one?

From my observations Armament, the distributor of the SpecterDR, makes sure their dealers don't discount from the MSRP, so the price you found is likely as cheap as you will find in Canada.

As I posted earlier, the IOR Valdada Pitbull is a reasonably priced alternative to the SpecterDR. I just checked feebay and there's a good used Valdada Pitbull at $875 with no bids yet.

The second item is a thermal scope, not NV. Who would buy it? Anyone who feels like they have a need and they have the resources to do so.

Yeah but if zombies show up at night then our neighborhood watch will be ready.

Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
