Just how close is/was he to the storm damage? My daughter has a friend in the City of Houston who is flooded out, but still has power and communications. Either his power is out, or he's busy helping out. I have faith he's OK, just out of communication with us.

That's what I think too. Hope he checks in soon.

Agreed! I'll also keep an eye out here for him.

I hope he's okay too. One of his last posts was him thumbing his nose at Harvey by posting that 'Honey badger doesn't give a shit!' video.

Is Dachsie in the Houston area too? It's been about five days since she's posted too.

The giant blue festering boil in the red state of Texas located in central Texas. It needs to be lanced.

Austin used to be the bomb. My sister went to college there in 1971 and I experienced it then, and lived there myself in the mid 70's. It was a hidden gem - now fully discovered.

100 people per day move to Austin. Been at that rate for years.

Back in the day, before the tech company's moved in, I have fond memory's being on ben white, turn on to congress drive and not see more than a hand full of cars on congress all the way to the capital, during sprang break when the schools/collages and university's let out. the population was ?? maybe 70 or so thousand, but when the students boogied out , Austin turned into a semi ghost town.

But traffic on I35 was a nite mare then and I suspect also today.

Glad you're safe! I figured you were evacuated or otherwise forced out of the area for a bit, and I'm sorry to hear about the damage. Can't wait to hear your firsthand account of it all!
