vlogger Ed also notes the hypocrisy of AAPL CEO Tim Cook's empty posturing of AAPL as being somehow super-environmentalists; meanwhile running planned-obsolescence swindles like this! :rolleyes:

Why not desktop comps too, while they're at it? Really anything "connected", like those amazon home spy "assistant" devices, can run this (((swindle))) when the new model comes out.

How long before (if not already) will say, cars, heavily computer controlled as they are today... and I'd guess able to download little OS/firmware updates automatically through your phone, wifi, or perhaps in the service bay; will they pull the same "apple swindle" on the performance of your car?

I'm happy with my Chinese MSS/ZTE Android phone. :)

Same spying, but half the price, and with a free two-year comprehensive warranty.
