Looks like some California desert. That animal could be another rock too.

It resembles a squirrel, appears to have an eye, nose, ear, front appendage and stubby tail.

Totally barren environment supporting life...highly unlikely. And that's not taking into account that the atmosphere on Mars is 95.32% CO2 and 0.13 % O2*.

*as in the oxygen available for respiration is virtually non-existent on Mars
