To the op, yes cycles are part of our being human. Seems like at least every 2-3 generations the mistakes of the past are repeated.

Mostly by that time the ones that lived and survived the shit and learned the lessons are dying off and the new generations having not a clue other than the words from the no nothing old farts and by the 2-3 generation will then repeat the very same mistakes or sumpthing close to those mistakes.

We as a people do not learn from the past in many many ways.

The idiots can't even see the truth in front of their faces even after years of introspection. Brain dead? I think they can't handle the truth. The thought that their youth and energy was spent in service of the dark side is more than their fragile ego can handle.
