I had to post that one... this doc advises low meat intake... but however this one is one of his best shots
at 15:15mins, he says that there also are antibiotics and anti-depressants in tab water and debubnks the 8 glasses of water daily... you decide. Mercola.com is still the best in my view but Berg is very interesting.. (of course he sells supplements BUT gives FREE ADVICE, tons of video, dont believe it all but many insights for sure)
Dr. Berg gets Confronted by a Dietitian and an M.D. regarding the Water Myth

Could be anything in tap water, I mean they tell us about chlorine and fluoride. I use a bone char filter for the house which lasts about 6 months so we're not poisoned taking showers or washing dishes.

Very poor advice. As one gets older one's 'thirsty' feeling diminishes.

Perhaps it's because your need for water diminishes? What other animal in the wild needs to be 'told' to drink a certain amount of water every day?

You really should know better.

Actually I don't... I have no idea how much water you SHOULD drink. Neither do I know how much I should drink. My innate intelligence tells me when I need to drink. There are so many variables involved, what you ate and how much. How hot it is, how humid it is. How hard you are working/breathing. If you have an infection in your body. Your body will tell you when you need to drink. There is no doctor in the world that know how much you should drink. It is a myth!

Wrong. One's body is under the direct control of one's subconscious - how many people do you know with a clear channel of communication with their subconscious*?
*extremely few people have a clear channel of communication with their subconscious since very few people are aware that it's possible

I dunno, I'm with you on this one. I listen to my body and drink when I feel thirsty. Doctors and "experts" have been wrong before. Remember hearing, "eat margarine, because butter is bad for you"?

So because people don't listen to their bodies, they need advice from those who knows better to tell them how much to drink. In other words outside educated intelligence trumps the bodies inborn innate intelligence...

Sure ignore your thirst signal and you go dehydrated, and it creates problems. On the other hand, drinking too much water, when not thirsty, can also create problems, leaching out of minerals, with resulting bone weakness. You can't expect to solve your own UNIQUE physiological issues, by not listening to what your body desires. There is no Dr/expert in the world that knows how much YOUR body needs of anything, but your subconscious knows.

well millions of people are hearing how HARMFUL tap water is... because he has mentioned this in several vids
I think the water intake cannot be really quantified. I am sure that when people have to walk half a day to get water do not drink a lot. But overconsuming water in the west is no surprise, the water industry, just like the farm factories must survive.
as I now live in a tropical environment, I drink 2-3 quarts (reverse osmosis or well water) daily but eating very healthy so I am not concerned by mineral loss

Sweden has really good tap water. No fluoridation at all and minimal chlorination (I have never smelled chlorine in the tap water here, but in most other countries I did). The reason is that we have good access to clean water sources. The tap water here is superior to all bottled water, apart from some expensive mineral waters.

A long time ago I went to a resort town in the Ozark mountains known as "Eureka Springs". We ate at a local restaurant and the waitress brought us a glass of water each. I took a sip and it tasted like old-timey Ozarka water from the bottle (like it used to be back in the 50's). I asked her where she got that water and she said from the tap. That meant to me that the water supply for that town came from a local spring, and I have always wished, since then, that I could afford to live there or nearby. That water tasted so good a person couldn't get dehydrated - you'd wind up drinking lots of it all the time just for the taste. A cursory check around told me I'd need a whole lot more money that I will ever have to actually buy a place and live in that area.
