I don't often watch TV drama, but started watching this. Seems timely.
14 hour long mini-series. Between this channeled (linked) and another on Bitchute I think all the episodes are avaliable.

Amerika is an American television miniseries that was broadcast in 1987 on ABC. The miniseries inspired a novelization entitled Amerika: The Triumph of the American Spirit. Amerika starred Kris Kristofferson, Mariel Hemingway, Sam Neill, Robert Urich, and a 17-year-old Lara Flynn Boyle in her first major role. Amerika was about life in the United States after a bloodless takeover engineered by the Soviet Union.

Let us know how it turns out. I cannot stomach most anything from Hollywood or mainstream entertainment.

Critics of the show lament the ending is left open.

This series is not an anti-Russian polemic as claimed by the critics of the time. Rather, it is an examination of what it is like to live in a defeated and occupied totalitarian country. I decided to watch it because what happened to us in this series is comparable to the experience of Iraq under US occupation. If anything, the Russians were much kinder to us in AMERIKA than we are to the Iraqis now.

Despondent as they were, the Americans of AMERIKA had a much greater appreciation for freedom than we do today. Today, we have lost much of our freedom, and we have done it to ourselves. For a glimpse of what is in store for us if we persist in our present course, watch AMERIKA.

The Second Civil War (movie 1997)

Just watched.

Timely.

Phil Hartman does a decent President Biden.

The Second Civil War is a satirical black comedy film made for the HBO cable television network and first shown on March 15, 1997. Directed by Joe Dante, the film is a satire about anti-immigrant sentiment in the United States….

The film is set in a United States in which foreign immigration has skyrocketed: ... an international organization makes plans to bring orphans to Idaho...

Idaho Governor Jim Farley orders the state's National Guard to close its borders, as Idaho has already received more than a million refugees…

Meanwhile, the President of the United States turns out to be an equally ineffectual leader, ruthlessly exploiting immigration to fill districts and states with those most likely to vote for his own party. ...his unofficial chief advisor, lobbyist Jack B. Buchan ...is less concerned with the good of the nation, and more concerned with politics, especially how the President's actions will play on television…

Meanwhile, the NN cable network is reporting the events and influencing them at the same time. News director Mel attempts to time events to maximize ratings, while his staff becomes polarized over the political issues involved in the conflict between the Governor and the President. Standard fare for the cable network is to show footage of crying immigrant children
