That is very interesting. Both DD Palmer, the founder of chiropractic, and BJ Palmer his son, called the developer of chiropractic, were both very much involved with the occult. I bought a book on eBay some 13-14 years ago from 1926 called BJ's travels around the world, in which he claimed he was a 32nd degree Mason. Most likely he got upgraded to 33rd degree, upon dividing the straight chiropractic profession into two parts, with his 1934 book Subluxation specific, adjustment specific, wherein he outlines his hole-in-one technique, essentially he claims that only treating the upper cervical spine, is the only thing a chiropractor needs to do, and since he was a master in marketing he got a large part of the profession to go along with this illusion. Sure the upper neck is the most important both mechanically and neurologically, and in many cases you could get good results in only correcting misalignments there, but it is bullshit to believe that this is the only thing you need to do as a chiropractor.

Another interesting tidbit is that BJ Palmer owned the midwests most powerful radio station, and employed Ronald Reagan there as a presenter in the 30's.

I never heard of this Louise Palmer (Hall) born around 1870, but it seems likely that she is indeed related to the Palmers of chiropractic, perhaps a cousin of BJ Palmer, especially if she is from Canada. I would assume she was trained by the Palmers themselves around 1900, as they were the only ones that trained chiropractors at this time. DD 'invented' chiropractic 1895, and started training chiropractors in 1897, and BJ was among his first graduates.

There is a lot of Masonic stuff in early chiropractic like Stephensons textbook on Chiropractic philosophy from 1927 which outlines the 33 principles of Chiropractic, which is a load of bullshit, it can be boiled down to one: rid the body of interference and it will function properly.
