Sounds like another lunatic leftist. After Rand escaped the DC shooting, you have to wonder if the deep state is trying to take him out. And you have to wonder just how much worse it can get in this country. Shootings, and Senators under attack, this country is so screwed. Morals and decency that were once bedrocks of our nation have been completely eroded in the sea of multiculturalism and rabid satanic liberalism in society.

Senator Paul was blindsided and the victim of an assault,” Cooper said in an email. “The assailant was arrested and it is now a matter for the police.”
The arrest warrant in the case indicates that Paul told police his neighbor came onto his property and tackled him from behind, forcing him to the ground and causing pain. According to the warrant, Paul had injuries to his face and had trouble breathing due to a rib injury

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — The Latest on U.S. Sen. Rand Paul’s assault at his home (all times local):
5:15 p.m.
A senior adviser for Rand Paul says the U.S. senator is recovering from five broken ribs following an assault at his home.
Doug Stafford said it is unclear when Paul will return to work since he is in considerable pain and has difficulty getting around, including flying. Stafford said Sunday that the broken ribs include three displaced fractures, which can lead to life-threatening injuries. The severe pain can last for weeks or months.
Police arrested 59-year-old Rene Boucher on Saturday and charged him with misdemeanor fourth-degree assault with a minor injury. Boucher is accused of attacking Paul on Friday, but officials have not released a motive.
Boucher lives next door to Paul and his wife, according to Warren County property records.
Boucher was released from jail on Saturday. He has not returned a call seeking comment.

U.S. Sen. Rand Paul says he has received overwhelming support following an injury after an assault at his home.
Paul posted on his Twitter account Sunday that he and his wife were grateful for the support “after Friday’s unfortunate incident.” Kentucky State Police say Paul had minor injuries. Police arrested 59-year-old Rene Boucher and charged him with misdemeanor fourth-degree assault with a minor injury.
Boucher was taken to the Warren County Jail, where records show he was released on Saturday on a $7,500 bond with a court date scheduled for Thursday. Boucher did not return a phone call from The Associated Press seeking comment. It is unclear if he has an attorney.
A spokeswoman for Paul said the senator was “blindsided” by the assault but did not provide more details.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) suffered minor injuries after being assaulted at his home in Bowling Green Friday afternoon. Now, we know a possible motive in the crime.

According to the Daily Caller (http://dailycaller.com/2017/11/04/rand-paul-assaulted-at-his-kentucky-home/), records with Kentucky State Board of Election show the alleged assailant, Rene Boucher, is a registered Democrat. Fox News also noted that “a person with his name also works as an anesthesiologist in Bowling Green.”

The Daily Caller also revealed that a Facebook account that appears to Boucher’s contains multiple anti-President Donald Trump postings.

On May 17, Boucher posted, “May Robert Mueller fry Trump’s gonads,” a reference to the former FBI director’s investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian government.

There are no postings on the account about Paul, though there are many others that criticize Republicans in general.
Boucher shared posts from Occupy Democrats, a popular Facebook page for liberals and progressives.

He shared one Occupy Democrats post that cited left-wing academic Noam Chomsky’s criticizing the Republican party as “the most dangerous organization in world history.”

A neighbor who witnessed the assault told WNKY-TV (http://www.wave3.com/story/36764371/update-rand-paul-assaulted-by-neighbor?utm_content=bufferde3b4&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer) that Paul and Boucher are next-door neighbors and Paul was mowing his lawn at the time of the assault. According to the neighbor, Paul and Boucher share a corner adjacent to their homes and they have been embroiled in an ongoing feud.

Boucher was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault. He could spend up to 12 months in jail if guilty.

Only up to 12 months? This deranged liberal, radicalized by the left, tried to kill Rand Paul.

they are keeping motive secret. and charges could escalate

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/11/06/alleged-rand-paul-attacker-out-on-bail-facing-low-level-charge-as-mystery-surrounds-motive.html

The Bowling Green Daily News reported that an arrest warrant said Paul told police his neighbor came onto his property and tackled him from behind Friday, forcing him to the ground, all while the senator was mowing his lawn. He had trouble breathing because of the rib injury, the warrant said.

Hodges would not confirm that Boucher is Paul’s neighbor.

Sunday’s disclosures about the senator's condition came a day after Paul’s office said the senator was fine and characterized his injuries as minor.

When asked about a possible motive for Boucher, Hodges told Fox News that it was something they could not release, as “it is an active investigation” and that they are “bound by security measures in place for the senator.”

State Police told Fox News on Monday that in Kentucky, there is a statute that considers an assault a felony only if there is serious physical injury.

Though the State Police was unable to provide Fox News a timeline for when their investigation will be complete, a spokesman said “it is up to Commonwealth prosecutors” whether Boucher’s charges could change from misdemeanor to felony, depending on the severity of Paul’s injuries.

I broke 5 ribs a couple years back with 3 dislocated and it did suck. I couldn't even stand up from a chair at first and to get out of a bed was painfully impossible. On my feet not too bad and could drive if I took corners slow (hazard). 6 months to move but not normal yet, 9 months i was okay til I had to wrestle my boy, 3 more dislocations... I am a special kind of stupid but didn't want to shoot the kid.

https://www.salon.com/2017/11/07/rand-paul-was-attacked-because-of-landscaping-issues-neighborhood-regulations-report/

Rand Paul wasn't allegedly attacked by his neighbor because of his libertarian policies or his party affiliation. But some tensions over gardening may have led to the reported assault that will put the Kentucky senator on the shelf.

The Bowling Green incident in Paul's yard apparently was over a longtime landscaping dispute, the New York Times reported Tuesday. Paul grew pumpkins in his yard and composted. But despite being environmentally friendly and Autumn chic, these habits may or may not have defied the affluent neighborhood's regulations, for which Paul "has shown little interest." The Times also gave us this amazing play-by-play on how the attack may have unfolded:

Mr. Paul had just stepped off a riding lawn mower on Friday when Rene Boucher, a retired anesthesiologist who lived next door, charged and tackled him. Because Mr. Paul was wearing sound-muting earmuffs, he did not realize Mr. Boucher was coming, according to one of the Kentucky Republicans and a friend familiar with the altercation.

The immediate motive for the attack, which left Paul sidelined with broken bones and bruised lungs, was not immediately known, the Times admitted.

Boucher's lawyer, Matthew Baker, insisted in a statement that the dispute was over a "trivial" matter.

"The unfortunate occurrence of Nov. 3 has absolutely nothing to do with either's politics or political agendas," Baker told the Bowling Green Daily News. "It was a very regrettable dispute between two neighbors over a matter that most people would regard as trivial. We sincerely hope that Sen. Paul is doing well and that these two gentlemen can get back to being neighbors as quickly as possible."

Boucher and Paul had been neighbors for 17 years before the incident.

Paul is known for his libertarian ideology and holds some pretty radical views on what one could do on their own lawns. In 2010, Paul famously said that he thought the Civil Rights Act of 1964 trampled on private property rights.

But maybe, the old axiom is true, and that all politics is local — and everything is political. Once again, from the Times:

“They just couldn’t get along. I think it had very little to do with Democrat or Republican politics,” said Jim Skaggs, who developed the gated community and who lives nearby. “I think it was a neighbor-to-neighbor thing. They just both had strong opinions, and a little different ones about what property rights mean.”

The three Kentucky Republicans, who requested anonymity, told the Times that Paul was embarrassed by the incident did not want to draw attention to it.

Boucher has been charged with misdemeanor fourth-degree assault with a minor injury, according to the Associated Press. He was released from jail on Saturday on a $7,500 bond.

What a hoot.

“Where’s Rand Paul’s neighbor when we need him?” Midler tweeted, as Paul spoke on the Senate floor about the proposed government funding bill.

More wisdom from Joollywood!!! Not entirely unexpected. So brave, so tolerant, so inclusive! It would be nice if we found Bette Midler in a dumpster somewhere, or maybe hanging by the neck from a secluded oak tree. That may cause the left to take pause from spewing their hateful bullshit!

Demos are amused.

Liberals, including Omar, are chuckling that Rand was brutally assaulted by his leftist neighbor and is still suffering from complications years later.

Loser who did this will be re-sentenced.

The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals has vacated Rene Boucher's 30-day sentence after he pleaded guilty to attacking Sen. Rand Paul in their federal criminal trial last year.

Prosecutors thought that sentence was unreasonably short for such an "inexplicable and violent assault."

They appealed, and Monday the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals agreed with them.
