Feds issue 4,000 orders to seize guns from people who failed background checks

A USA TODAY review found that the FBI issued more than 4,000 requests last year for agents from the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives to retrieve guns from prohibited buyers.

ATF agents tasked with retrieving the banned weapons from unauthorized gun owners across the country are exposed to potentially dangerous confrontations.

The FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) vets millions of gun purchase transactions every year.

So, these guys have had guns for how long now, but haven't killed anyone? Well, I guess that demonstrates these anti-constitutional "prohibited person" statutes are bullshit. "Shall not be infringed." Too dangerous to own a gun = better be locked up for just cause.

Politicians who legislate on topics they haven't got a clue about are at the root of this madness. This idiot hasn't got a clue yet she's introducing bills that she can't even comprehend and the LEO cowboys are licking their chops as they 'enforce' the shit out of us all!. The Day of the Rope draws nearer...

yeah, I can't see them being able to renig on the process after transfer were completed.

Unconstitutional and unconscionable invitation to disaster.

Whoever broke the news and or gave the order buried.
