'Amnesty Don' comes under fire from right-wing allies for offering path to citizenship to 1.8 MILLION 'Dreamers' - more than twice the number Obama protected under DACA - as he pushes for $25 billion to build his border wall


President Trump's allies are turning on him for offering a pathway to citizenship for more than 1.8million Dreamers. Right-wing news website Breitbart, formerly run by Trump's ex-chief strategist Steve Bannon, branded the president 'Amnesty Don' for making the offer.

In exchange for provide a pathway to citizenship for more than 1.8 million illegal immigrants who were brought to the country as children, Trump expects $25 billion in guaranteed funding for his U.S.-Mexico border wall.


But the deal has gone down badly with Trump-aligned candidates from Nevada and Virginia, who rejected the notion outright.


Outside groups who cheered the hard-line rhetoric that dominated Trump's campaign warned of a fierce backlash against the president's party in November's midterm elections.

The story never changes, it's "amnesty for those here now, and secure the border." They agree, all illegals become legal, but nobody secures the border. It's happened a few times now, and now we're here yet again. Here's what'll happen: Trump and the dems will give all the illegal invaders free citizenship and promise to secure the border. The border won't be secured, millions more will pour in over the next 10 years, and we'll be having the same conversation again, until America is mostly brown with a few patches of white islands hiding in the sea of brown.

I have offered DACA a wonderful deal, including a doubling in the number of recipients & a twelve year pathway to citizenship, for two reasons: (1) Because the Republicans want to fix a long time terrible problem. (2) To show that Democrats do not want to solve DACA, only use it!

The path to citizenship would require a 10-12 year period where recipients would be required to demonstrate good behavior, work and education requirements, and good moral character.

Not sure, DACA has to do with # of birth ?

Anytime u see #s on immigration they're always estimated.

What would be interesting is a true # of visitor visas not returning as opposed to border crossings.

I bet many more of any criminal element crosses borders with temp visas as crossing illegaly. Or the criminals wanting to stay.

Criminal records in those afflicted countries are most likely open to a huge amount of interpratation. Juan Rodriguez probably purchases any number of clean alias.

Infact any poorer or claimant nation (one who accepts paper dollars on their streets) most likely gifts that alias freely.
