Actually only one dead in that affair. In other accidents across the state (including this one) a total of 8 people died.

If the globe were warmer or the climate had changed, these persons might have survived.

Interesting note: The sum of all numbers on a roulette table is 666.

Gamblers don't play to win. They play to play until they run out of money (time?).

Sorry for the transgression. I have zero FRNs. How much would you bid for them?

What’s so odd about Steven Paddock is that he never ran out of money.

He did apparently run out of time though.

Years back I ran out of time. It was finals week. I needed to unwind and the Memorial Union had this baseball pinball machine. Quarter in and an hour and a half later I was 35 games to the good. I was nailing it. I ran out of time and had to leave for a test. But I was completely unwound.

Coincidentally this was about 5 miles away from where that pileup happened.

You should have seen the games we used to play in Roman times. That is when winning and losing meant the difference between life and death.

The semi trucks landed better than any of the cars.

No. The one I remember had four bases and the players ran them.

Were the baseball players cardboard or tin?

I think you had the expensive model, mine were cardboard and manually operated.

Players were tin if I remember correctly. And it was in a billiards parlor operated by the University in the basement of their Memorial Union.

I see, sounds like a breeding ground of contemptuous young persons.

This one is probably before your time. It takes nickels to play. The ones I remember all took quarters
