Do people ever load websites to their own PC at home anymore?

It's not so much the website but the backend database that's the problem. Gotta store all of our rants somewhere. :)

I back up my site every month or when I make any changes, to the server and my PC. Takes a minute or two to run a full backup with database on the server. I see we're still on godaddy so if it's not backed up by the user they will charge I think it was $350 to run one for you and the limit there was 24 hours. So if the site goes down with no backup and it's been a couple days you are fubar. <- something to that extent, I transferred my site the day after I heard them tell me that horse shit.

dont know, I am with gridhoster and have unlimited space for unlimited number of websites (just pay for domain names), back ups included for 7.95 dollars/month

My stablehost site I can run all kinds of backups. Last php update freaked me out but I backed up and then did the update. No issues. Freaking out for no reason.
