Not that he is entirely incorrect. In order to govern yourself you must really be extra-ordinary. After all, do inmates get put in charge of the asylum?

This is an incorrect way to look at it. Those who cannot govern themselves die off, as do their offspring. For some reason we modern humans feel the need to throw government into the mix. The White Mans' Burden I suppose.

I have a dog. He is incapable of governing himself. He seems to think he can stand in the middle of the road and stop traffic. I either have to live with the possibility of dealing with his carcass on the road or I manage his activities by leash, fencing, shock collar, training. I have chosen to execute his governance since he cannot.
Apply the same principle to those who cannot deal with modern society. Do you let them off themselves or do you try to protect them from their own actions?
I don't know that there is an answer that satisfies everyone. Society seems to deal with this problem by presenting illusions (creating their own problems) and creating rules to protect you from these illusions.

Not sure if the Obama clip were not taken out of context.
Ben Franklin or The Sun King would've approved the intent of the message.
Imo, ordinary man can govern itself. Critics on the other hand have airy virtues to nail down and often become political representatives to ordinary man.
Ofcourse that what is represented becomes objectifiably lost in most cases and clearly in Obama's case.

You might ask yourself ... If you exhibited a desire to stop a locomotive with your head ... why should I care? You aren't my dog.

In the hypothetical case I would have such a desire, I think I would prefer to live it out, rather than being your dog... what’s for dinner? Schlurp! Yeah, yeah gimme a treat [jump, jump]

Those are in the nature of the dog. I don't keep coyotes or wolves 'cause they are independent (and unstable). I don't keep representatives because they smell worse than civet cats and are inaffordable.

reading some coast guard stuff yesterday, I came across a 'how to' fill out forms for violations. it instructs the coasties to write the cited person's name in ALL CAPS on the forms.
my question - what's the difference? easier to prosecute?

Ship names are always ALL CAPS.

Coast Guard enforces maritime law. Maritime law requires a vessel. Or perhaps you would like to spell it vassal?

You may want to consider that your dog thinks he/she is doing you a favor by standing in front of a car or a train. May not have been interested in such an endeavor at all if it wasn’t for you feeding him. Coyotes and wolves don’t tend to go head to head with machines. Of course you need to protect your dog from his stupidity since you are responsible for him being stupid in the first place.

If you had a 2 year old toddler would you feel the same? After 6-8 years a dog might gain sufficient intelligence to not do stupid things but neither a puppy nor a child have that intelligence.

Mexico makes it work with coyotes.
When you are starving meat from any source is eaten. Even bugs and worms.
The gusano, or worm, at the bottom of a bottle of cheap mezcal is actually moth larva. Prized as a source of protein since Pre-Hispanic times, the larvae live in the agave plants used to make tequila and mezcal. Fattened on sweet agave nectar, they might be sautéed and folded into warm tortillas or toasted and ground up with rock salt and dried chile peppers for sal de gusano: worm salt. Until recently, this spicy, smoky condiment was just about impossible to find in the U.S. Thanks to a broader array of Mexican food available and a couple of mezcal brands that started importing their own, sal de gusano is gaining something of a cult following.

No firearm big or small ever had the slightest effect on a corporation or other legal fiction. You start to take out legal fictions by making their representatives prove their authority (carte de persona).

ahahahaha... just ask Manly P Hall and walter russell.. knowledge that is 5000 years old and when hidden/occulted, allows some to enslave the many. Getting rid of pure evil will require to grasp the mysteries first. Just like a gun... the mind decides what to do with it. This knowledge can terminate them too. This is a metaphysical battle, that Max Igan and the like, myself included, are waging at ((their)) level of Reality.
So yes bronze age men did NOT find about the Mysteries

You have to know how to deal with cats. Check with your taxidermist for his recommendations.
