U.S. Coast Guard (https://www.facebook.com/UScoastguard/?fref=mentions) Cutter Thetis crewmembers offloaded more than a ton of marijuana, with a street value of about $2 million, after returning to homeport in Key West on Friday. In March, crewmembers were among those who intercepted a suspected drug smuggling vessel in the Caribbean.

Someone who formerly worked for me was a Marine stationed in Central America in the '80s. His job with his fellow Marines was to call in air strikes on the competition when out in the jungle in Colombia and when back on base they guarded the neatly and professionally packaged cocaine shipments on pallets being loaded onto USAF cargo planes "to be incinerated in the states."*

*why not save the fuel and wear and tear on the aircraft and simply incinerate the cocaine in Panama?
