My brothers family had a skunk come into their yard and start fighting with their cats about a week ago. They figured it was rabid so after shooting the skunk they shot the cats he'd been fighting with because they figured they'd be getting rabies. They gave a rabies shot to a couple of their favorite ones and will watch to see if they get sick.

Quite a few years ago they had a skunk come into the yard and start chasing my sister in law. I think she killed it with a shovel and they had it tested and it did have rabies.

She should have gone to a veterinarian they charge closer to $10 for the rabies shots. Seriously a vet may be a good alternative if you need a simple surgical procedure. Just make sure you keep your ballsack away, so the vet doesn’t take it out of routine.
