privacy is a total joke. I got an ethereum wallet because I had to for very small transactions, and coinbase.com even requested a picture of my ID/driver license taken with my smartphone and to upload it. Then their system confirmed that my ID was valid. Throughout the process they texted me 5 security codes or so, so my laptop and my smartphone were at all time in sync to complete the registration
Everything is connected... no escape, folks, unless we let the system go...

So they only deal with legal fictions then (since they want to see the strawman via the DL/state issued ID).

Interesting article. But it has little to do with this thread. Unless they decide to do the payment system based on cryptographic technology... Hmmm perhaps that is one reason why Trump started sanctions on Iran again, so that the rest of the world would come together to create a financial system outside of US dollar hegemony. The e-€ will take over as reserve currency as US goes its own isolationist way under Trump.
