His continous disrespecting of the Office of the Presidency should have given him the boot ages ago. I only saw CNN’s feed of the incident, and unless they doctored it there was nothing amounting to assault or battery, no matter what ‘most venues’ would consider. Unfortunately Trump has let the shadow boxing with Acosta go on for too long, for him to withdraw the press privileges for that reason. And it is obvious that the damage has already been done, as there where several talking heads behaving like Acosta at the press hearing. Apparently if you don’t have the microphone it is now standard practice to shout out your objections to the president...

It is quite clear that having press access to the White House is a privilege, not a first amendment right. His privilege was revoked. Thus he can’t go and harass the White House staff and the president any longer.
