The Founders set a minimum of 35 because they recognized, even back then, that men do not fully mature until their 30s. If anything, the minimum age to be President should be increased, considering the nature of today's young "adults."

Of course, the Founders never envisioned a time when madness was the norm, so they didn't include "of sound mind" or "of good character" in the constitutional requirements.
