MOSCOW (AP) — Alarmed by the growing popularity of rap among Russian youth, President Vladimir Putin wants cultural leaders to devise a means of controlling, rather than banning, popular music.

Putin says “if it is impossible to stop, then we must lead it and direct it.”

But Putin said at a St. Petersburg meeting with cultural advisers Saturday that attempts to ban artists from performing will have an adverse effect and bolster their popularity.

Putin noted that “rap is based on three pillars: sex, drugs and protest.” But he is particularly concerned with drug themes prevalent in rap, saying “this is a path to the degradation of the nation.”

He said “drug propaganda” is worse than cursing.

Putin’s comments come amid a crackdown on contemporary music that evoked Soviet-era censorship of the arts.

My understanding was, Russia's approach to resisting the LGBTQP component of deliberate society-weakening cult-marxism is very similar. Namely, "the act" between consenting adults behind closed doors isn't outlawed; but public propaganda campaigns (pro-gay "education", parades, ...not sure of full extent... advertising? "entertainment" movies/TV shows?) are forbidden.

Seems like the smart approach... "organic" gays (who don't act on pedo desires) only; no spreading/encouraging/normalizing/"celebrating".

As those of us who watch the trends about file sharing and so-called "piracy," we know that Putin's Russia takes orders directly from the (((MAFIAA))) [MPAA/diaRIAA]. Russia has taken numerous Draconian steps against both "piracy" and privacy. If Putin was "on our side," allowing "piracy" of Holowood's wares would be a satisfying blow against Jewish America's Babylon Empire. Alas...
