I am missing another Christmas this year because of work. Worked 12 hours today, and go back in first thing 0500 tomorrow, Christmas morning. Watching that video puts things in perspective, for sure. While I may be stuck working and away from my family, I'm not in a trench during wartime.

Merry Christmas everyone! We are all blessed on this day, for having Christ as our savior.

Stubby Pringles Christmas is my favorite Christmas movie. It's about three cowboys in the middle of nowhere living in a bunk house and tending cattle on a ranch. There's an old cowboy that's got a sweet tooth and he'd been looking for some chocolate a young cowboy had bought to give to a young woman he was sweet on. He intended to ride twenty miles to a party and dance at a school house to see her on Christmas Eve but came across a homesteader family that was in need. He ended up helping them and giving away the gifts he had for the young woman and also his pocket knife. He was late to the party and everyone there had gone home. An old guy was sweeping up and he told him he could have the last piece of cake that was left.

The best part of this movie is when he gets back to the bunk house and doesn't want to disappoint his friends there so he makes up a story for them. The best part of the movie starts about the 39:00 minute mark with the woman he wanted to meet up with singing a Christmas carol.

Christmas is for children and family. That's what it's all about. Birthday of Christ is a worthy thing to celebrate, even if you are not a Christian. We had 27 people over on Christmas and the food and drink were awesome. Why not have a special time for kids and family? Every year I have to fight the Scrooge in me. I am always thankful that I succeed. Bah! Humbug!
