Top Republican at CPAC: Jeb Bush could emerge as nominee at a brokered convention
Al Cardenas, head of the American Conservative Union, has said that Republican turmoil might lead to a brokered convention in which Jeb Bush, former Florida governor, would emerge as a “possible alternative” party nominee.

This is a very real possiblity. This may be the strategy the RNC is using to create all the ups and downs of three "front runners" to keep Dr. Paul from gaining the 1144 delegates needed to secure the nomination. They will stop at nothing to keep Dr. Paul from being the nominee.

Speaking of CPAC, why didn't RP make a speech?
It was emphasized on news radio spots that all 3 besides RP gave speeches there.

Why would Dr. Paul be the least bit interested in addressing the inmates* at an insane asylum?? ??? I'm quite sure he has much more important things to attend to.

Ron Paul Wins Presidential Straw Poll at CPAC -- Again

The Texas congressman, known for his libertarian views, ran for president in 2008 but was never a serious contender for the GOP nomination.
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, a 2008 GOP candidate who is expected to run again, came in second place with 23 percent of the vote. Romney won the previous three presidential straw polls before Paul snapped his streak last year.
Many convention-goers booed when the results were announced but the Paul supporters drowned them out with chants of "Ron Paul! Ron Paul! Ron Paul!"
Paul's consecutive victories in the straw poll have frustrated many GOP faithful who would rather see a more credible contender win. A CPAC official told Fox News that the big story is not Paul winning again but rather the strength of Romney's second-place finish.
Former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie came in a distant third with 6 percent of the vote, followed by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich with 5 percent.
Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann and Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels all received 4 percent. Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin got 3 percent. Businessman Herman Cain, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum and South Dakota Sen. John Thune earned 2 percent. Former U.S. Ambassador Jon Huntsman and Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour finished with 1 percent.

He won the thing last year. Why not get into their faces and make them back step. If this is one the biggest conservative crowd gatherings, why not get some more media attention.
He is playing in their ring. He might as well play some of the same games. If he wants to get more noticed by the sheep, he needs to be where the sheep are.

He may not be at the CPAC convention, but the word is, all the Khazar worshippers are touting RP's message of freedom, liberty and the constitution!...like it's their own words.
The sad part is, a few months ago none of them had the foggiest idea what liberty and following the constitution meant.
Ron is in Maine fighting his ass off for our first win.
We should know in two or three hours how he's doing.

But there may be some questions about the results, particularly if the vote totals in the low-turnout contest were close, as expected.
Some Maine municipalities don’t vote until Sunday. Also, Washington County, in the state’s rural eastern region, postponed its caucuses until Feb. 18 because of a snow storm, disappointing some participants.
Helen Saccone, of Lubec, said those who wanted to caucus there should have had the chance. "It’s Maine. Life goes on when it snows in Maine," she said.
The rural region is likely stronger territory for Paul, who has been more active than Romney in the state.
