I haven't been following this story at all, do they know what kind of explosives were used?

The backpacks do not look like they are filled with anything overly heavy per se. i.e. ~ 5lbs One does though.

These guys, assuming they did it, have government agency written all over them. The question is, whose government.

Exactly my point. There is no visible strain on the shoulder straps for something that I would imagine would weigh in the neighborhood of 20 lbs.

Try it for yourself. See that air gap from the strap to his back in the closeup pic? Not a lot of gravity going on there.
