I agree with you that it doesn’t pass the smell test in terms of severity and the massive reaction of the governments of the world. I do however think it impossible for it to be a total hoax, there are just to greater amount of people in the world having to be involved that you can’t maintain the illusion. I think I had the virus myself, in terms of flu symptoms quite mild, and it doesn’t seem to have had much negative impact on anyone physically close to me either afaik. Perhaps the combination COVID19 +5G is bad. During my disease (or imagination running amok, idk I keep an open mind to that as well) I wasnt close to any transmitter for most of the time. And it seems vast majority of severe cases is in metropolitan areas...
