Chris Briels leads the recall effort of the town tyrant

Om a fact finding trip recently in Eastern Oregon, I had three areas of interest.First was to attend a corruption conference in Baker City, Oregon which was so detailed and eye popping I’m still going over mountains of evidence provided by Lazaro Ecenarro who travelled here from Florida to investigate several charges of corruption from County Commissioners, Sheriffs, media people and even the Governor’s office. He had the distinct advantage of being from another State where the people he investigated have no jurisdiction over him. Consequently, he handed over an enormous amount of evidence and allegations.

Next the trek was to Owyhee reservoir and River in the South Eastern corner of Oregon a two hour drive from Baker City. It’s remarkable how everything is a two hour drive over there. The Obama administration along with Keen Footware of Portland and (shocking) Steve Grasty want to declare it a Monument which is very bad for Ranchers and residents of that region as well as very bad for Hunters, Sportsmen, ATV access and many forms of recreation. We’ve seen this happen many times in other areas and it severely limits access to the public on land that is ours to access.

Last was to Visit Owyhee 120 miles Southeast to Grassy Mountain near Vale, roughly 150 miles around the bottom of the Owyhee Canyon Lands and back up towards Burns. There is a proposed deep pit mine on the Western side of Owyhee in a remote area 30 miles from Vale.To get from the East side of Owyhee Reservoir to the West side requires a long detour to the North or the South. Given my position near Adrian, I chose the Northern Route. After the long drive off road visiting Grassy Mountain I drove through the Darkness on dirt roads back to Vale a bit late to find Lodging in either of the two Motels unavailable.

Next closest town for Lodging… Burns, 2 hours away. For those of you who think it sounds romantic to travel the Eastern side of the State top to bottom turning stones, looking for rats, I guess at times it is. But there are also those times when you’ve driven dirt roads all day and night only to find your eventual refuge for the night is full leaving you a two hour drive to Burns at 11:30 pm. In Burns the next morning, since I was there I looked up a fellow whom I had met a couple times previously.

Mr. Chris Briels first came on my radar in January when I watched him announce his resignation from the position of Harney County Fire Marshall. He had also held the position of Burns Fire Chief previously.

What was most interesting to me was that he made his announcement from the Malhuer Refuge standing shoulder to shoulder with Ammon Bundy and LaVoy Finicum. I watched a clip of this on social media as I belief the National media and even most local news sources censored the story and the video. If you haven't seen it in it's entirety, watch it.

Subsequently to seeing that video I made my first investigative trip to Burns shortly after they took over the Refuge. The first person I ran into in town that I recognized was Chris Briels. I found him to be very gracious, accommodating and brutally honest. He’s one of those matter of fact, dead honest, straight forward people who manages to mix even the harshest narrative with dignity. I guess you could say I took to him right away and from that point forward there has never been a trip to Burns where I didn’t run into him somewhere but generally with just enough time for quick cordials and we each had to be on our way.

Finding myself back there inadvertently and with no particular deadlines, I thought I’d call him and ask for a meeting to catch up on current events.

Before I could dial him, my phone rang and I commenced a long, intense phone conversation with Lazaro Ecenarro about the Grassy Mountain Project and many of the implications. The topic then drifted to the Hammonds and a few hours later we were on a conference call with Mrs. Hammond. I’d like to say I’m completely objective and unaffected by the subject matter I’m researching but it simply isn’t so. I happen to be passionately offended by injustice and there is no greater injustice in recent times in my opinion than the imprisonment of the Dwight and Steven Hammond, the Murder of LaVoy Finicum and the incarceration of those at the Refuge. There simply isn’t enough time to document all the injustice and the associated anxiety is sometimes overwhelming.

The long Phone session took me through breakfast, through lunch and into the late afternoon hours all while basking in the luxury of the Silver Spur Hotel. Upon conclusion of our epic conversation I was completely spent, re- agitated, famished and ready to sit quietly and process all I’d just heard. As I made my way to The Apple Peddler in Burns and ordered Breakfast, lunch and dinner, I thought again of Chris Briels and gave him a call.

I missed him, left a message, devoured a meal Just in time to see his returned call.

He had been dealing with a matter involving the Finicum memorial site and was anxious to come talk about it so I waited there for him. Burns is a small town and he was there inside of 10 minutes. I could see the fire in his eyes as soon as he arrived and he quickly began telling me of the desecration of the memorial site again, this time by a member of the local Sheriff Dept. There is speculation that this wasn’t his first time tearing it down and hauling away several crosses, flowers, flags, Cowboy Hats, and an enormity of sentimental items left by those who were inspired by his message. The Deputy who arrived as the concrete was setting and yanked the newly built solid steel large cross was Lucas McClain. He cited legal references claimed it to be “litter”, pulled it out and hauled it away. Chris was noticeably disturbed by this as was I so we spent some time marveling at the gaul of a County Sheriff who would allow such rogue behavior from one of his Deputies.

Chris is a pretty intense and passionate person and has a refreshing, non filtered way of speaking that I appreciate. It reminds me of a time in my life when that was just the way people were. Most had no agenda to sell you or propaganda, ulterior motives or any concern of offending people with their commentary. It was not incredibly unusual in my youth to settle a disagreement with a round of fisticuffs followed by a beer and some newfound comradery. It worked, it was brief and it was finished.

We’ve been det-uned to the point now you can’t say a dammed thing without someone having been given the privilege of taking offense to the slightest tone variation. Slowly, I’ve seen it vanish with World War II veterans, then the boomers, now to the point where most have been infected with the PC poison so badly they are afraid to say or do anything which might ruffle any feathers. Chris somehow missed the PC Vaccine and speaking with him is a reminder of how we should all be. He exhibits rage , emotion, and compassion freely, without restraint and doesn’t pause for consideration of fear in any matters of business which needs to be addressed.

He told me the details of his run in with Steve Grasty and about his encounter with undercover FBI operatives spreading fear in the Burns community. He confronted two such men who said they were just considering a business venture in Burns. When he called their bluff and called the Police department he learned that they were covert implants from the FBI. While addressing this with Steve Grasty he was told he was basically old and useless by Grasty, and not capable of being a threat to anyone. Grasty then told him it would be best for him to go home and assume his role of being out of the way. As you might imagine based on my description of him, this wasn’t received passively and he promptly wrote a letter of resignation on the spot and handed it to Grasty.

He quickly recognized their strategy of trying to overstate the threat of the Patriots at the Refuge. He witnessed the influx of Law Enforcement and was astonished at their attempts at creating fear in the community.

I enjoyed hearing him describe the very theatre of fear that I had witnessed. Grasty and Company Blew this up from the beginning, called begging Governor Brown for massive support and spread the false narrative that the whole town was under siege by the handful of peaceful protestors at the Refuge some 35 miles away.

This has to have been the biggest sham ever perpetrated in the History of Governed corruption as they first told all of the BLM workers to leave town for fear of their lives and paid them to flee to other towns complete with paid Hotels , paid leave etc all at the expense of the generous American Taxpayer. Briels own Daughter, who works for a branch of Government in the area was told she was under extreme threat by the Patriots and was forced to take a body guard to the office where she worked because they told her the threat of harm was so great that she could not be left alone. They had her so afraid that she broke in tears explaining to her Father that she was truly afraid for her life and shared with him that it was much bigger than he knew. When he tried to explain to her that it was just a fear tactic of her employer She was so convinced of the danger that she refused to talk to him anymore because he dared to speak with Bundy.

I personally have never been so disgusted as to hear how they orchestrated massive unrest and fear in the community and used the media like pawns to portray a town in siege, civilians under attack by armed militants, and a poor defenseless community so badly disrupted by the hostile, crazed, anti- Government “whacko’s “ attempting to overthrow the United States Government from their fortified stronghold 35 miles away.

It was the most astonishing lie and false narrative I’ve ever witnessed and Chris described what it was like being in the middle of it all as being surreal and unbelievable. He talked of how they deceived and lied and pandered to the Highest office in the Country to come save them from the uncontrollable massive force of 15 or so TERRORISTS intent on killing and maiming the townspeople of Burns.

Of all the mistakes Grasty made in orchestrating this debacle and the ensuing Murder of an innocent and decent man, I think his biggest error in judgement may have been the egregious disrespect and offensive verbal assault he cast on Chris A long standing resident and community servant respected by all of Harney County, Chris promptly helped form an assembly of townspeople to address the matter of deceit and underhanded business which was rapidly developing in Burns at the hands of Patterned after the Historical “Citizens of Safety Committee“ of Common Law not so long ago in America, the group of attendees fluctuates between 40 and 150 people who meet weekly and discuss the problems and methods of fixing them. On the forefront of problems was Steve Grasty and his pattern of lies, deceit and his sellout to the Bureaucracy of the Feds at the expense of the vitality of Burns and Harney County. A quick look at the once booming and thriving town of Burns reveals a town which now appears to be against the ropes. There are massive commercial vacancies throughout town and little to no hope of recovering the lost momentum which once thrust them to the peak of income earners in the entire State of Oregon. Under the influence of Steve Grasty and Federal overreach on Logging, Ranching, Mining and all the downstream industry they all generate, the town is now in the lowest income bracket for Oregon. It’s so disheartening to hear of the once bustling Logging industry that thrived here.

Because of their proximity to the vast forest lands that fed the towns Edward Hines Lumber Mill, they produced over 1 million Board Feet of lumber per day in the largest undercover lumber mill in the world, according to Briels. He also pointed out that all that lumber had to be moved somehow so a railway was built and delivered lumber all over America, originating directly from Burns. It was very innovative for it’s time and thr railway ran right through the mill so the entire train could be loaded undercover. Now all that remains is the giant smoke stack that sets idle and several behemoth vacant buildings. He told me of one such building that was acquired by a local Rancher who purchased it at a bargain basement price so low that when he was forced to remove all the electrical power from the building in order to use it for hay storage, he sold the massive amount of copper wiring in it for an amount $ 75,000 in excess of what he paid for the building. They even removed the railway some years ago so there’s little hope for a revitalization effort. Years of this federalized strategy has crippled this once robust town and Grasty has lead the way. He appears cut and molded to tow the federal line at cadence.

Although the emaciated logging industry precedes him, he walks hand in hand in full cooperation of a system of Government that will never allow for a town such as Burns to regain it’s former splendor. If they have any hope of rebuilding and revitalizing our small towns, they need to break free from the binds of the Federal strategy which is exactly what Bundy, Finicum and Company were there to help them do.

It’s no wonder Grasty was so threatened by them and went to such extreme lengths to have Finicum Murdered and the rest incarcerated. They indeed were a threat to Steve Grasty. A threat to his empire of deceit and control. A threat to his secretive involvement with BLM deals, Golf Courses, unusually cheap land grabs, and bountiful palm greasing. Bundy and Finicum were revealing all the lies, all the deceit, all the injustice to Good and decent people like the Hammonds who endured long enough to take abuse from two different Sheriffs under the cold grasp of Steve Grasty. They were travelling from town to town, reaching people all across America via blogs, facebook, twitter, Instagram and social media everywhere, bestowing the crime of hope and giving them the actual tools to build on that hope. Sadly, In the end, the goliath defeated their minion foe, for this town, for this day. They effectively silenced the message of hope for every small town in America just as it was beginning to be heard.

But as long as there are the Chris Briels out there, they have not defeated the heartbeat of small town America. They have merely stirred a deep rooted passion in a Country a County, a town and a Man. A Man in this town of Burns who has accepted the torch and with it the role of a leader. Not a titled leader that has no respect and must impose his will on a people but one that hears the peoples will and has their respect, needs no title, and pays them for their respect with results. Chris Briels may or may not yet know he’s a leader, we never discussed it. Burns and Harney County may not know it yet, but I know it and he’s exactly the kind of leader this town, this County and this Country for that matter needs. Straight talk, determination, honesty and integrity. So Simple, so effective.

As of this writing, Steve Grasty has been successfully recalled. He, of course, refuses to step down as he has no connection with or appreciation of the majority of the County he is supposed to serve. So, he'll be forced into a special election at the end of the month where because of the special assembly of community members and the efforts of them and Chris Briels, the Voters decide whether to give him a swift kick off of his throne with, hopefully, a healthy dose of feathers and tar. I’m sure he’s basing his hope on the fact that 60% of the residents of his voting base are employed with the Federal Government.

But even they have to see what he has done, how he embarrassed them in front of the world and how he is simply bad for the County. Or is a Golf course on land sold to him by BLM that was developed by the taxpayer a good thing while he pockets the proceeds?Is flooding out Ranchers to steal their land a good thing?Is purposefully dragging a town down into chaos and purposefully instilling fear in the community a good thing?

There is a long list of ridiculous infringements which I haven’t vetted yet so I won’t print them until their validated but on the pure, raw, details that we know as fact outlined here he should be given the boot with a little extra zeal. I hope the good people in Harney County are aware and paying attention. It’s in their hands and this is exactly the type of thing ALL counties should be doing to insure that THEY control their County as it is meant to be.

Through efforts like this and people like Chris Briels, Ammon Bundy and LaVoy Finicum, it is possible to begin the process of repairing the damage. Left to their own devices, these towns will thrive and blossom once again as they once did. People are ingenious and intuitively capable of building, growing and protecting the environment they reside in. Towns are not designed to die. They are not to be lifeless and poor and struggling. They should by nature be growing, replenishing and flourishing. It’s only when their being choked out by federal authority that they fail and become emaciated. Why are so many small towns dying before our eyes? They have the natural resources that spawned their success originally. All wealth comes from the soil, all of it. Name one product that can be produced free of Mother Earth. You can’t.

The foreign enterprise of the United States Government wants control of the land because he who controls the land controls the water. Whoever controls the water has supreme control. People are basically good by Nature. They are capable of dealing with their own water rights and we have been given a constitutional system to regulate that perfectly well on our own. Whenever you give a Government power over a people you have oppression, Tyranny, strife and death. It’s dysfunctional and it has an insatiable appetite for more and it devours it’s own people. History has demonstrated this time and time again.

When you have a people with authority over their Government you have balance and peace which is what the constitutional system is designed to do. If a Rancher, a Farmer, a town or County owns the land outside of the Government authority, the Federal oppressor cannot control them. The only way they can seize our State lands is if we hand it to them willingly which is what Steve Grasty, Ron Weiden, Jeff Merckly and Kate Brown all have in mind. Recalling Steve Grasty won’t fix the problem but it’s an enormous start. Chris Briels is currently leading the charge in Burns and Harney County. Others are forming in other towns across Oregon and America.

They will try to stop this. They cannot and they know it, but they’ll bear down on anyone they can to slow it down.They know that people have a tolerance level and they try to play the game staying just short of an uprising. The one thing they hadn’t considered was the information technology which allows people to share their stories and experiences and realize that their being played as fools. Americans are patient and tolerant but they are also fierce when pushed beyond their window of tolerance.

The decision remaining to be made is do we correct this now, peacefully with a stand in every small town and city against the illegality of this process?Do we legally and rightfully resist the outlaws which are conning us into believing we no longer have any rights? Or do we wait and fight another bloody War because that is the only other possible outcome if we let it ride. Our children will be left to fight and spill blood and die for our lack of willingness to hold the legal ground which we own. Chris Briels knows it, many are learning it, I am learning it.This can be done peacefully, legally and under the laws of the land and the Constitution we were blessed with. Any attempts to tell you that Christians, Constitutionalists and those seeking freedom are terrorists or lawless are attempts at deception and you should immediately consider the source to be in on the sham.

Pete Santilli’s attorney Thomas Coan, has filed a motion to suppress the key prosecution testimony of a man who claimed he observed Santilli at a Harney County Committee of Safety meeting on December 22, 2015. The man, who is a member of the committee, told the FBI that not only did he observe Mr. Santilli at the meeting, he also heard him actively participate in a conversation where initial plans were made to take over the Malhuer Wildlife Refuge.

Pete Santilli denies being in Harney County on December 22, 2015. The prosecution’s own evidence backs Mr. Santilli up; Bank debit/transactions, internet activity – of his live streamed Morning Show – from the IP address of his studio in Cincinnati, and eyewitness accounts – all put Santilli in Cincinnati, Ohio – when the Tuesday night meeting in Harney County, Oregon was said to have taken place.

The witness told defense investigators, he may have been confused when he spoke to the FBI and now he isn’t sure if Pete Santilli was there or not. “I may have been wrong about Pete being there. I may have gotten the meeting confused with the “public” meeting I saw him at in January, after the takeover.”

The public meeting the witness is talking about in January, was nearly a month after the supposed December meeting, and was live streamed to the public.

This admission may also raise questions as to whether or not the witness’s testimony will be reliable if he is testifying for the Prosecution against Santilli’s co-defendants.

It is possible this witness’s testimony could prove to be an even bigger problem for the Prosecution if his testimony was used to help secure the Grand Jury indictment for Mr. Santilli’s subsequent charge and arrest.

Under United States v. Basurto, the government has a constitutional obligation to inform the court, counsel, and the grand jury about false statements, and that its failure to do so requires dismissal of the indictment. In Basurto, the Ninth Circuit held that

the Due Process Clause of the Fifth Amendment is violated when a defendant has to stand trial on an indictment which the government knows is based partially on perjured material, and when jeopardy is not attached. Whenever a prosecutor learns of any perjury committed before the grand jury, he is under a duty to immediately inform the court and opposing counsel – and, if the perjury may be material, also the grand jury – in order that appropriate action may be taken.

The grand jury’s historic role has been to serve as a protective buffer standing between the ordinary citizen and the overzealous prosecutor’s [possibly like Ethan Knight]. The reality that grand jury proceedings are “secret, re parte and largely under the control of a “federal prosecutor” should magnify counsel’s concern regarding the propriety of the investigation or usurpation of power by the prosecutor is called into question. Trusting that the system will always work without judicial interference or that any problems can be addressed later in litigation is naive. Source Article

Did the Government knowingly allow a witness to make false statements to a Grand Jury that secured an indictment against Pete Santilli? It is hard to believe otherwise considering the government through it’s own admission, obtained a search warrant to surveil Mr. Santilli since before last December and knew exactly where he was on the 22nd.

If the witness did not testify to the Grand Jury, were his statements used in an argument to get the indictment? And why, after knowing Pete Santilli couldn’t have possibly been in Harney County on the 22nd, did Prosecutors allow the false accusation to stay in the discovery, possibly tainting the Judges view of Mr. Santilli’s role in the January occupation of the Malhuer Wildlife Refuge?

Judge Anna Brown was advised of the findings on Wednesday by Defense Attorney Amy Baggio, who was temporarily representing Pete Santilli during the monthly progress hearing in Portland Oregon. The Government has asked for a week to look into the new findings before the Judge rules on the matter.

Along with the Motion to Suppress Tom Coan, is now considering his clients full options after this discrepancy was revealed in discovery and presented to the Court.

Police chief's top aides under scrutiny

http://gold-silver.us/forum/safari-r...3549343450.jpgAs the state investigation of Chief Larry O’Dea’s shooting of a friend continues, a parallel city probe has expanded its focus to include his four top aides at the police bureau.


One of the four assistant chiefs now under investigation by the city’s civilian oversight unit, Donna Henderson, was designated acting bureau chief by Mayor Charlie Hales on May 24, after the O’Dea investigation was launched.


Henderson, as well as her peers Mike Crebs, Bob Day and Kevin Modica, have been notified that the Independent Police Review division considers them “involved members” in the O’Dea probe, meaning they are suspected of violating bureau policies, according to sources who spoke on condition of anonymity.
The situation is unprecedented in modern Portland history.


The four, like O’Dea, have been issued gag orders and are forbidden to discuss the situation.


Bureau spokesman Pete Simpson declined to comment, citing the pending investigation by the Independent Police Review division, which is overseen by the elected Portland auditor, Mary Hull Caballero.


The new wrinkle in the Independent Police Review probe could have ripple effects regardless of its outcome. The situation developed as Hales is expected to soon name an interim chief to lead the bureau for what could be a long time.

For administrative and political reasons, Hales may want the interim chief to be someone other than the four assistant chiefs currently under investigation.

O’Dea is on leave as he is investigated over the shooting, which took place April 21 while he was on a camping trip in Harney County. When asked about it at the time, he suggested to a Harney County Sheriff’s deputy investigating the shooting that his friend’s wound was self-inflicted, according to the deputy’s report.


The state Department of Justice is investigating the shooting to determine whether a crime occurred. Meanwhile, on May 20, the city’s civilian watchdog, the Independent Police Review division, launched an investigation to interview witnesses and determine whether Portland Police Bureau policies were violated.
Negligent wounding of another person is a crime. As far as the IPR’s review of whether internal policies were followed, police officers are required to be truthful. If O’Dea is found to have lied, he could face discipline or even termination and lose his state law enforcement certification.


Because the four assistant chiefs are not represented by any union, they are expected to retain lawyers to address the IPR probe.


Why they are now under scrutiny remains unclear. It has been widely reported that O’Dea informed them, as well as Hales, of the shooting on April 25. Under city code, IPR was supposed to be notified, but was not.


The bureau, O’Dea and Hales have been criticized for not opening an investigation until after news of the shooting was broken by Willamette Week. IPR could be investigating the early handling of the case.


Since IPR launched its probe on May 20, it’s likely that some or all of the assistant chiefs have been interviewed by IPR. Any discrepancies could have sparked follow-up investigation by IPR to determine whether one of the officials was untruthful.


A spokeswoman for Hales on Monday declined to comment for this story, citing the open investigation. IPR director Constantin Severe also declined to comment for the same reason.


During the April incident, O’Dea and his friends had been lined up in camping chairs, shooting at ground squirrels, or sage rats, they told the Harney County investigator who responded to the scene.
Days later, after the wounded man underwent medical treatment, he told the investigator that O’Dea called him to admit he shot him accidentally. O’Dea reportedly told his friend the gun had been misfiring all day.


The incident and subsequent leadership uncertainty comes as the bureau is beleaguered on several fronts, including poor morale, low staffing, and loss of veteran officers to retirement and other agencies.


Meanwhile, contract negotiations are underway that could boost pay and settle union grievances, such as one claiming officers are being put in unsafe situations due to the lack of backup.


Many observers are skeptical O’Dea will regain the chief’s job, regardless of the investigation’s outcome. Mayor-elect Ted Wheeler has in the past expressed interest in conducting a national search for a new chief.


Depending how long that search takes, observers say, the new interim chief could hold the job for a year to 18 months.

PREFACE 1 – Lest We Forget Why There Was An Occupation
This article – and those that follow, will attempt to bring awareness to the original purpose of the protest and the root issues behind the events in Oregon during the January 2016 Occupation;
The Occupation exposed an over-reaching federal government that has been exerting extra-constitutional authority over land and resources within the boundaries of states through contracts and secret deals with corporations (foreign and domestic) and over some residents in those states. As well these articles will attempt to shed light on how the overreach, harassment and abuse of residents was, and still is allowed to persist because these corporate entities are not bound by limitations of the U.S. Constitution, but instead by business policies decided on by corporate executives and board members.


PREFACE 2 – Original Intent
In January 2016, ranchers, patriots, sympathizers, and concerned residents of Burns, Oregon brought attention to the growing distortion of the U.S. Constitution and the extension of authority by the federal government when they planned a rally and protest in Oregon. The rally focused on the western ranchers, Dwight and Steven Hammond that were harassed by federal agencies for years and later tried, convicted and sentenced twice for federal charges brought against them by the United States Department of Justice.


The planned protest, an act of civil disobedience, was lead by Ammon Bundy. Ammon is the son of rancher Cliven Bundy who has also suffered harassment by federal agencies. The planned protest was to occur after the rally ended on January 2nd – however; Since many of those that attended the rally knew nothing of the plans, confusion ensued while they attempted to figure out what was going on and what part – if any, they wanted to take in the protest that was now occurring on federal managed property. From the beginning rumors and unfounded speculation were spread through Harney County by mainstream media who immediately labeled the protestors as anti-government militia members.


As a result, many that attended the rally and those watching via the internet live stream aired by Pete Santilli and his crew, chose not to participate in the protest, while a small group of men and women left the rally and headed to the Malheur Wildlife Refuge about thirty miles outside of Burns.

MERCENARIES IN BURNS, OREGON

A few weeks into the protest unknown men dressed in military-like garb were spotted around the town of Burns and exposed by citizens [Film The Police – Portland] who were acting as independent media. The mysterious men bore no patches on their gear stating which federal agency they were a part of, and when spoken to or asked, they refused to identify who they were or the agency they worked for.

The circumstances brought to light that many of them were not federal agents at all but employees of private security firms (mercenaries), which had been contracted by the federal government to aid local and federal employees to end the protest and occupation of the federal wildlife buildings, and to secure private interests in the resources of the lands in Oregon.

The dangerous revelation was ignored by mainstream media as well as many reporters in alternative and the independent media realm. After the death of protestor Lavoy Finicum, the people following the protest from the comforts of their home were steered towards focusing on the circumstances surrounding his death, the arrest of those that were accompanying Lavoy that day, and the surrender of the remaining protesters left at the wildlife refuge; Forgetting that mercenaries not bound by Constitutional limits were involved.


After the death of LaVoy Finicum and arrest of occupation leaders, the story that compelled the men and women to occupy The Malheur Wildlife Refuge in protest faded away into the background and so did the exposure of mercenaries that were filmed on the ground just days before the fatal ambush outside of Burns on highway 395.

HER COURT WAS OUT OF ORDER


High drama is what took place in the Portland Courtroom of Judge Anna Brown today when once again Ammon Bundy refused to sit down when being ordered to do so after she denied his motion for a continuance. The judge said she couldn’t grant the Bundy brothers a delay without a showing that the two, who had initially insisted on a trial starting in April and opposed the court’s designation of the case as complex, couldn’t prepare for trial within the next nine weeks. She found it difficult to accept that the Bundy brothers — the “loud and clear leaders in this case from the beginning” — wouldn’t have time to prepare for trial by Sept. 7 and rejected their motions for any delay.

The room was filled with animosity between Brown, Ammon Bundy, and Bundy’s attorney Marcus Mumford. That tension quickly escalated into a dramatic confrontation between Bundy and the Judge, said one courtroom observer. A shouting match ensued between the two that caused the Judge to lose her composure and briefly lose control of the courtroom when the gallery full of supporters joined Mr. Bundy in his reprimand of the Judge.

Ammon stood up and just started to speak when the Judge shouted at him to sit down. Speak to me through your attorney, she said. She rose to her feet flailing her arms and was yelling at him — Her face was pretty red and full of anger – She was visibly pissed off – Ammon was yelling back at her telling her that it was unfair that he was always being told to shut-up and sit down. He was tired of being told to be quiet and having his right to be heard dismissed by her — Then it felt like the whole courtroom kind of joined in the yelling — the Marshalls’ were all on their feet and took someone out — it got pretty crazy there for a
second —

To regain control of herself and the proceeding, Brown cleared the courtroom by calling a brief recess and shortly after returned to continue with the “ex parte hearing” without the Government or spectators. That hearing is said to have gone better.


Several other things were brought to light in today’s hearing as well as the Judge and Ammon Bundy’s apparent lack of patience for one another; Shawna Cox told the Court she was ready to part with her attorney and join the ranks of Ryan Bundy and a few others by representing herself when the trial gets underway.


Peter Santilli and his attorney Tom Coan were told by the Prosecution, they will not be calling witness Kevin Johnson to the stand during Santilli’s portion of the trial. Kevin Johnson is the man who falsely told the FBI he saw Mr. Santilli at a December 22nd “Committee Of Safety” meeting in Burns, Oregon where the takeover of the Refuge was allegedly first planned. Pete Santilli was overheard telling the prosecutor, “Good, — maybe we will call him to testify against you then.”
Oral arguments for the second round of motions were set to begin on July 18th, and a tentative time table for the trial itself was also set. Prosecutors are saying the Government will need at least 3-4 weeks to present their case in full, while the defense is estimating roughly 3 -5 days per defendant to get through their portion of the trial.


Nothing was said today about how long jury selection would be expected to take once it begins on September 7th, 2016. Judge Brown has noted they have 1,000 potential jurors from counties surrounding and including Multnomah County, where the trial is set to take place.


The Government also released a list to the defense today which contained the names of 111 people which mostly consisted of with-held names of FBI agents and law enforcement whom they plan to call as witnesses. True to their word kevin Johnson’s name was not on that list.


However, there is one surprise witness on the list that will be testifying for the Government; Found among names like Sheriff David Ward, Steven Grasty and no name FBI agents – was the name Glen Palmer, the Sheriff of Grant County.

The state Department of Justice opened an investigation this past March into Palmer, who faces nine complaints, some from government employees, accusing him of promoting a personal agenda “over the welfare and safety of the general public he is sworn to protect. Many are claiming government pressure on Palmer has been oppressive after threatening to end his career in law enforcement. Others have expressed that they cannot imagine him being a cooperative witness for the Government. We reached out to Sheriff Palmer and as of the filing of this report we had received no comment.


Other names included were Chad and Rhonda Kargas – Husband and wife team working for the BLM and Fish and Wildlife respectfully.


Another interesting person testifying for the Prosecution will be Kieran Suckling. Kierán Suckling is a founder and the executive director of the Center for Biological Diversity and known agitator whom Carol Bundy, will quickly tell you is the group that started this fight between them and the BLM in 2014.


Suckling came to the Malheur Refuge to protest the Occupation and almost incited a riot according to some witnesses. Suckling is disliked by many, including some of his peers who say Suckling has done more harm than good in the environmental movement;

Ted Williams is proud of his credentials as an environmental provocateur and he uses those credentials to defend his criticism of Center for Biological Diversity in an article in High Country News (1). He expresses his opinion that CBD is motivated by money. He points out that CBD has filed hundreds of suits against the federal government, using environmental laws, such as the Endangered Species Act, and that every time it wins it collects attorney fees from the federal government. The cost and number of these suits has become a major obstacle to US Fish & Wildlife and the Environmental Protection Agency in fulfilling their mandate to protect rare species.

Mr. Suckling implies that CBD’s control of the environment is only temporary until the new order is established in which plants and animals are in control. This reminds us of a similar fantasy about a new social and economic model which was originally proposed by Karl Marx. In creating the concept of communism, he envisioned a temporary dictatorship of elites which would eventually be ceded to a “dictatorship of the proletariat.” The world has now witnessed many attempts to install communism as the governing economic model, but we have not seen the dictatorship of elites willingly cede their power to the people.


This quote of CBD’s Executive Director from Ted Williams’ article, also helps us to understand why CBD sues the federal government to achieve their goals:


“’They [employees of federal agencies] feel like their careers are being mocked and destroyed—and they are,’ he told the High Country News. ‘So they become much more willing to play by our rules.’” In other words, suing—and the threat of suit—is CBD’s means of controlling the federal agencies that are responsible for protecting the environment, i.e., forcing them to do what CBD wants.

**(NOTE: the woman attorney from Wyoming in the meeting of constitutional sheriffs in Northern California last winter stated that the government funds these bio-diversity groups who the use these funds to sue the government agencies such as the BLM)

To all of you who think the Action At Law are a bunch of idiots that are asking for a Grand Jury in OR. to investigate the OSP for violation against the Bundy bunch and murder of La Voy Finicum, because we do not know what we are talking about, I assure you we spent many hrs in research..

WE took the spin and cover up out of the equation and by the States own investigation , we found the cover up, the lies and many questions not asked or looked into.....NOW I have found the missing pieces, thanks to Thom Davis, who is lives in the area, and is a land owner and rancher.....

Does he know what is going on in Harney Co???...you bet he does...I have posted 2 of his you tube videos and to all of you who was caught up in the twist of the media, i dare you to listen to him and the other rancher, that have the guts to stand up and speak out..and understand what really happened at the refuge...and then clear your mind and look at the evidence with out prejudice of the media views. The Bundys did not invade or make threats to any people that work at the refuge.(the workers were given vacation) the place was opened for them and the dispatchers were told of the occupation and told not to call 911 why?????.....and 4 days the police knew that the occupation was going to happen....hows that?????

FBI ,OSP had all the info on all of the group at refuge in there little cards, criminal background, mental history, religious back ground, family history and known habits......the informer reported all of their movements that day, and very well knew that the gun of La Voy Finicum was left behind.....

Another Harney County resident, a woman, was curious about the protest and visited the refuge in January. She “found the people gathered at the Refuge” to be “nonthreatening and very friendly.” She said that no one was blocking the entrance or stopping people from coming and going. She also observed that the “place was very clean and well maintained.”

She contrasted that experience with the “danger and intimidation” in Burns due to the “armed FBI agents [who] took over the town and turned it into a militarized zone.” She saw more guns on the FBI agents around town than among the people at the refuge.

Refuge never barricaded; open to all comers

A Harney County rancher swore that the refuge was never barricaded and the public “always had an unfettered right to enter the Refuge at any time and to stay as long as anyone wanted to.” He also pointed out that it was customary to go armed to the refuge and to open carry rifles, which doesn’t alarm the surrounding community."

Judge Rules Against Political Prisoners AGAIN

Judge Anna Brown came out with another ruling on Friday, July 15, 2016. This ruling was designed to keep relevant evidence out of the trial against Ammon Bundy and his fellow political prisoners from the Malheur Refuge.


The ruling was specifically concerning the behavior of the FBI officers at the murder of LaVoy Finicum on January 26^th. The proof of their misconduct, their lies, and the manipulation of evidence went to the grand jury last month.


The prosecution has argued the evidence does not need to be turned over to the defense as it does not pertain to the superseding indictment in this case. Defense attorneys argue that, of course, it does need to be turned over as it can be used to impeach the government witnesses. Prosecutors argue that they will not call these particular witnesses, so the defense argument is moot.


Judge Brown has ruled in favor of the prosecution in another blatant attempt to keep the people from exercising their rights.
Yes, this ruling is against the citizens of this country, not just those named in the sham indictment.


First of all, the defense has a right to call their own witnesses. Why is the prosecution controlling whether or not these particular FBI stooges (Yes, manipulate evidence and you rate no higher than stooge, and should stand trial) are called by the defense?


Secondly, the defense has an obligation to show the behavior of the government, and the FBI, which had a direct effect on the behavior of those at the refuge. The murder of LaVoy is part of the proof of the continuing pattern of intimidation the government employed against the protesters and witnesses.
Next, the government contends that the event on the highway that led to the murder of LaVoy was not related to the Refuge. Why then is the government going back in time, prior to January 2^nd, to attempt to prove their case of planning and mindset? If the defense is only allowed to use the events that occurred at the refuge, then the government should be held to the same standard.


The defense has a mountain of evidence showing the intimidation by the government, beginning with 22 affidavits of witnesses that refuted the government narrative. This is only a small portion of witness statements they could have submitted, as I know of many more available to the defense, including my own.
I wrote repeatedly about my experiences in Burns and at the Refuge. I was not afraid to admit that I felt safer at the Refuge than I did in town, as the government intimidation was higher than I could possibly have imagined.


The government has continued to manipulate the people and events that surrounded the protest in Burns, the events that led to LaVoy being murdered, past the final day of February 11^th, and it continues today. Judge Brown is a willing accomplice to the shredding of the Constitution and the Rights of We The People.


We must continue to hold fast and stay strong. We The People will fight Tyranny!

Guerilla Media Network received information 10 days ago that a Grand Jury had been called to decide if evidence concerning a coverup by “FBI HRT” Team Members on the ground in Burns Oregon, tried to coverup the fact they had taken shots at LaVoy Finicum, as he exited his vehicle on January 26, 2016.


Legal sources in Portland told GMN that they were aware the Grand Jury had been convened, but did not have information about an actual indictment, at the time the information was passed down to us.

LaVoy Finicum was gunned down during an illegal ambush orchestrated by the Oregon State Police and HRT Division of the FBI on January 26, 2016. Mr. Finicum had been acting as a peaceful media liaison during the Adverse Possession of The Malheur Wildlife Refuge near Burns Oregon when he was executed. Ammon Bundy and codefendants being charged with conspiracy to impede federal workers from doing their jobs are currently being held in various Multnomah County – Oregon jails -without possibility of pretrial release.


GMN OPINION


Should these Militant FBI Agents be indicted in the coming days, it is Guerrilla Media Network’s hope that they be placed in a cell in Multnomah County Detention Center pending trial, and that they be chained to a bench without food or water, not be allowed to speak privately with their attorney, only allowed out 1 hour late at night to make phone calls, and be denied continuously – month after month – a pretrial release. Considering this was an actual a crime ending in violence; it is also our hope that they be labeled as terrorist and scorned and ridiculed in the press. Of course this would be for their own safety and is, after all the policy of the United States Marshall Service.
