I couldn't make heads or tails out of his crummy map. Clearwater NF is one of my favorite playgrounds. I ride my ATV all over it in the summer when I can get over Hoodoo pass. I'm still pretty skeptical about all this anyway.

I don't know hoarder, I hear that Bigfoot becomes a superspreader once infected with Covid. Be careful out there.

OK, now I got it. That East West road there is the road that goes to Elk City. I'm way North of that. This area is the largest cluster of timbered National Forest in the lower 48 states. My property line is adjacent to it. I'm not far from where Lolo NF, Clearwater NF and St Joe NF come together. https://www.google.com/search?client...al+Forests+map

Sounds like a piece of heaven. Long winters though. How high up are you?
Re: Vanishing in the wilderness
I'm at 3400 feet. Highest peaks around here are about 7300. Winters are long but that keeps the undesirables away. Average winter temps 20 at night, 30 degree days. I love Montana.

West of the Continental Divide is warmer. Also lower humidity than you have. You're right in the frost belt.
Sorry for the thread drift.
