The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in response postponed a meeting that had been scheduled for Feb. 15 to review Pfizer’s application for the pediatric vaccine.
Two separate clinical trials of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID vaccine for the younger age group are in progress: one involving children between the ages of 6 months to 2 years old, the other involving children between ages 2 and 4.
CNBC last month reported two shots did not induce an adequate immune response in children 2 to 4 years old in Pfizer’s clinical trials, leading Dr. Anthony Fauci to predict children in that age group would need a three-dose regimen of the vaccine.
In what the New York Times described as a “highly unusual move,” the FDA urged Pfizer to apply for EUA of the vaccine, even though two doses failed to produce the hoped-for immune response among children 2 to 4 years old and the vaccine maker did not yet have data on the efficacy of a third shot.
Pfizer had planned to submit its application to the FDA next week, then provide additional data in the coming weeks on a third dose, NBC reported.

The average number of Americans getting their first shot is down to about 90,000 a day, the lowest point since the first few days of the U.S. vaccination campaign, in December 2020. And hopes of any substantial improvement in the immediate future have largely evaporated.
About 76% of the U.S. population has received at least one shot. Less than 65% of all Americans are fully vaccinated.
Vaccination incentive programs that gave away cash, sports tickets, beer and other prizes have largely gone away. Government and employer vaccine mandates have faced court challenges and may have gone as far as they ever will.
And with COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations and deaths subsiding across the U.S., people who are against getting vaccinated don’t see much reason to change their minds.
“People are just over it. They’re tired of it,” said Judy Smith, administrator for a 12-county public health district in northwestern Alabama.
The bottoming-out of demand for the first round of vaccinations is especially evident in conservative areas around the country.
On most days in Idaho, the number of people statewide getting their first shot rarely surpasses 500.

With the pandemic still a mortal threat, public health workers haven’t given up on getting more people vaccinated, even if it feels like an uphill slog.

Biden, No. 2:20-cv-02470-WBS-JDP (Eastern District of California), a federal vaccine mandates lawsuit against the President of the United States. The lawsuit argues that vaccine mandates must be repealed not only because they are unethical and unscientific but because our country would not be able to perform scientific vaccine research without the existence of unvaccinated persons who would be able to participate as controls. Thus, the case is known as, The Control Group litigation.
Recently, Glaser filed a motion to disqualify Judge Kim McLane Wardlaw, due to her ownership of substantial stocks of vaccine manufacturers. Overall the vaccinated population suffered 5,831 hospitalisations, meaning they accounted for 80% of all Covid-19 hospitalisations between 7th Feb and 6th March 22...
In all, there were 5,681 Covid-19 deaths between 7th Feb and 6th March 22, and the triple vaccinated population accounted for 4,024 of them. Whilst the not-vaccinated population accounted for just 465.
Overall, the vaccinated population accounted for a shocking 92% of all Covid-19 deaths during these four weeks, with 5,216 recorded deaths. This means the vaccinated population now accounts for 9.2 in every 10 deaths, and the triple vaccinated population accounts for 4 in every 5 of them.
