Former Adass Israel School principal Malka Leifer faces extradition over alleged sex abuse
The former head of an Orthodox Jewish school in Melbourne will be extradited to Australia to face charges of sexually abusing her students.
Malka Leifer, a former principal of the Adass Israel School in Elsternwick, fled to Israel in 2008 after the school board sacked her following complaints of inappropriate conduct with students.
The Australian Attorney-General's Department said Mrs Leifer had been arrested in Israel in response to an extradition request made by Australia.
"Ms Leifer is wanted to face prosecution in Victoria for alleged sexual assault offences," a spokesperson said.
The Israeli news website Ynet reported overnight that a resident of Emmanuel, a settlement town in the West Bank, was arrested on Sunday.
It said the woman was suspected of sexually abusing three sisters at an Orthodox high school in Melbourne between 2004 and 2008.
In 2008, parents told The Age Mrs Leifer had molested students at school, at her home and probably at school camps.
They said one victim had attempted suicide.
The parents, who would not be named, said that Mrs Leifer would share her bed with different students when her rabbi husband was away.
"It's very sensitive, because a girl who has been molested would find it hard to get married, so it's very secret, hush-hush - no one wants to admit their child is a victim," a parent told The Age at the time.
Sergeant Sharon Darcy from Victoria Police said the Moorabbin sexual offences and child abuse investigation team was investigating complaints of historical sex offences at an Elsternwick School.
In my experience these people seem to be the font of a lot of paedo stuff. Then they suck others in AND often the others are crypto's anyway. If you search around you can find a few reported cases affecting this community going on down here. The devils work it seems is never done.

I bring up that because as Brian Gerrish points out most shows, there is a Pakastani man who revealed the child sex abuse in Oxford and has been constantly harassed. I don't think he is locked up though, not sure. There is a man in Scotland who has been place under house arrest on unknown charges. He does not get to face court until 2015 I think they said. Maybe more than 12 months away.
There is also another woman who was a victim Melanie Shaw. She has been trying to blow the whistle on other abusers but has been attacked, threatened, home broken into and has now been arrested on false arson charges for which no evidence has been submitted...... they are still manufacturing it ahead of her trial, date unknown.
How important is Cliff Richard in all this? Not very. I still think that whole exercise was a cleaning one.

The site archived more than 100 videos and more than 17,000 child porn and child erotica images, many of them depicting infants and toddlers being sexually abused by adults.
DeFoggi became part of that sting after becoming a registered member of PedoBook in March 2012 where he remained active until December that year when the FBI shuttered it. During this time DeFoggi, who described himself as “having many perversions,” solicited child porn images from other members, viewed images and exchanged private messages with other members expressing interest in raping, beating and murdering infants and toddlers.
DeFoggi received many commendations during his government career, according to an exhibit list created by the government for his trial. The list includes several certificates of award from the U.S. Treasury, a certificate of appreciation from the State Department for his work on a Hurricane Katrina task force, several documents related to computer courses he attended and certifications he received.

A senior aide to David Cameron resigned from Downing Street last month the day before being arrested on allegations relating to child abuse images.
Patrick Rock, who was involved in drawing up the government's policy for the large internet firms on online pornography filters, resigned after No 10 was alerted to the allegations.
Rock was arrested at his west London flat the next morning. Officers from the National Crime Agency subsequently examined computers and offices used in Downing Street by Rock, the deputy director of No 10's policy unit, according to the Daily Mail, which disclosed news of his arrest.
No 10 confirmed on Monday evening that Rock had been arrested. A spokesman: "On the evening of 12 February, Downing Street was first made aware of a potential offence relating to child abuse imagery. It was immediately referred to the National Crime Agency (CEOP).
"The prime minister was immediately informed and kept updated throughout. Patrick Rock was arrested at his home in the early hours of 13 February, a few hours after Downing Street had reported the matter. Subsequently, we arranged for officers to come into No 10 and have access to all IT systems and offices they considered relevant.
"This is an ongoing investigation so it would not be appropriate to comment further, but the prime minister believes that child abuse imagery is abhorrent and that anyone involved with it should be properly dealt with under the law."
The arrest of Rock, 62, who had been tipped for a Tory peerage, will have come as a severe shock to the PM and the Tory establishment.
Cameron and Rock worked together as special advisers to Michael Howard in his time as home secretary in the mid 1990s. Rock later worked for Lord Patten alongside Cameron's chief of staff, Ed Llewellyn, during his time as a European commissioner in Brussels.
Rock was never a member of Cameron's innermost circle, whose members are closer to the prime minister's age. But he was a respected and trusted figure who shared Cameron's sense of humour.
The Daily Telegraph columnist Benedict Brogan recalled in 2011, when Rock started working in No 10, that he and Cameron repaired to the Two Chairmen pub on the day John Smith died in 1994.
"We both agreed that Blair coming meant that we would be fucked," he was quoted as saying. Brogan also wrote that Rock coined the phrase: "Cows moo, dogs bark, Labour put up taxes."
Rock helped to draw up government policy which led to the deal with the internet giants on online filters. Under the deal, all households connected to the internet will be contacted to be asked if they would like the filters installed.
Rock faced embarrassment last year when he was photographed walking up Downing Street clutching a document outlining progress on hundreds of pledges made by the coalition. Ed Miliband said the document, which admitted that some of the 399 pledges had not been met, was an "audit of coalition broken promises".

This is incredible. The youth detention centers were told by the criminals that they were asking the Dutch court for children who could work for the Dutch Queen for a certain period. The detention centers were very happy; they thought that Queen Beatrix was a very social person, and they gladly volunteered in giving files of certain children to the criminals. When they wanted to verify what the criminals told them, they were given a name and a phone number of a high ranking officer in the court of Queen Beatrix, and that high ranking officer would tell them that indeed the criminals were seeking children to work for a certain period at the Dutch court.
After receiving files of approximately three children every time, the criminals selected a child that had no relative or family. They told the youth detention center that those are the ones we want; the youth detention center would give clothes to the child and put the child on the train to Zwolle.
In Zwolle, the criminals fetched the child from the station and brought it to a building that was equipped like a hotel but was not working as a hotel, although there were people in the lobby as if the hotel was working. The child was put on a table and was given something to drink and with that drink the child was drugged. Beside that hotel was a building where the performance took place.
In that building there were people were sitting down and at a certain moment the child was brought into that building by the criminals, was tortured, raped and brutally murdered in front of those people.
The audience was around Prince Johann Friso, the second son of Queen Beatrix. I was told that Johann Friso was quite insane and had an unhealthy interest in young children and had a psychiatrist with him every day of his life. That psychiatrist's name was Guus Pareau Dumont.
