It's because your input is incorrect, Phi-3 isn't equal to 1/Phi3, just like square root of x (or x-2) isn't equal to 1/x2.

If it's just a number any old x will do. absent some sort of vector or compound number it still reduces to x cubed.

Roots are fractional exponents. Inverses are negative exponents.
