The animal cruelty needs to go mainstream. That will do more damage to the governments image in the eyes of the public than any other single factor, particularly the hungry baby calves separated from the mother cows.

Any rational by Bundy that makes him a criminal by his own admission (such as his cows were grazing on property owned by others ... either the county or state) is an automatic looser. Why would you even bother to come up with a defense by which you lose automatically?

Here is another thought. Bundy's cows I presume are all branded. Not only are they his property but they are his servants or agents as well because he can be charged for their trespass. So how about adverse possession? He (through his grass eating agents) has occupied land adversely for over twenty years. We know it is adverse because the BLM has told him to get his cows off. Here he has an excellent claim to all the land that his agents have grazed upon. Seek title. In that event there is no trespass and he has a right to eject trespassers himself.

All of what you just said can be summed up with 2 words.

Prescriptive Rights, it's not the governments land, it's not Nevada's land. If Bundy's family has been working the land as long as they have it is his regardless what the government thinks.
