just a reminder for those opening new social media or whatever accts, all of which require an email addy for verification. For a brand new throw-away email addy which doesn't nag you for your mobile digits or even a different backup email (though they reco', they don't REQUIRE): https://protonmail.com is ur friend! They're also encrypted end-to-end when ur communicating w other protonmail accts. If ur using ur proton to email with gmail/yahoo/etc, fuggedabout 'privacy', gmail/yahoo/etc have got it all. And 'sides, ur device's OS is surely sending ur every keystroke/click/pornhub-view to the spooks anyways.
But all that said, I still like to keep any social media accts tied to an email which is an 'island', disconnected from my phone digits and/or any other 'real' or throwaway email addy's... make the spooks do a little WORK, for our tax $ FFS. :rolleyes:
Thanks for posting on this. Yes, that's what I'd like to do, set up social media accounts (I don't have any now) that are somehow tied to an email that is an "island" and not connected to the real me in any way. I haven't been able to figure out how to do that, so that's why I'm not on anything. And there are times I'd like to be able to create an account with youtube so I could comment there.Quote:

Yes, that's me I have a hotmail account, which I think is how I can comment there. But I think my hotmail account is connected to my name and I think even once when I accidentally maybe commented or thumbed up something I saw my full name. So that would be a problem. I want something not connected to me. So maybe I will try to set up another hotmail account, but make it so it's not connected to my name. I'll work on it. I just get confused with this stuff.Quote:
