ANDREW REID, THE NEW YORK PUBLIC SCHOOL HISTORY TEACHER WHO SAYS HE "BELIEVES IN TRUTH" has posted his own account of his very thorough investigation into the tales of holocaust survlievor Joseph Hirt on Scribd. online and it is a bombshell. Reid has done in this instance what the media and the schools continually fail to do before they publish a story or allow someone to speak to their students – scrutinize and vet the extravagant claims of holocaust survivors. Of course, the media doesn’t do that because they know the claims won’t hold up; thus one can only conclude the media is helping to defraud the public on the subject of Holocaust. The schools are doing the same out of laziness and mental incompetence.
On pages 27-29 of his document, Reid lays out his idea that Mr. Hirt should have an opportunity to publicly retract his claims and admit his fraud, ask for forgiveness and cease his involvement in any further public presentations. If Hirt refuses to publicly recant, Reid recommends that law enforcement in both Lancaster County, PA and Lewis County, NY should pursue a criminal investigation. Right on, Mr. Reid! It has been the case ever since 1945 that only one side was punished; it’s about time these surlievors are held to legal account too. If they were, there would be a lot fewer of them. Holocaust survivor, public speaker and long-time New Jersey resident, Abraham Peck, died last Thursday after suffering kidney failure at the age of 91 his family revealed on Tuesday.
Peck resided in Fair Lawn for much of his life after moving to US in 1949, just four years after being liberated from a Nazi concentration camp by American armed forces.
He said that he saw it as his duty to tell the world of the horrors he endured in nine concentration and forced labor camps from ages of 15 to 20 during the Second World War.

Peck, who was the only one in his immediate family to emerge from the Holocaust, often gave speeches to schools and community groups in North Jersey and was the subject of a recently published biography.
Paying tribute to his father, son Jacob said, he wanted people to remember the Holocaust and 'not to stand for any injustice in the world', adding: 'That was a core piece of his legacy.'
Speaking several months ago, Peck - who was born in Poland - said his worst day during internment was seeing his father die and then not being allowed to bury him.

He said he begged to help with the burial but the SS guard pushed him back by smacking him with a barrel of a gun and then ordered him back to work.
'Until this day, I don't know where my father is buried,' he said.
After being freed by the Americans on April 30 1945 he was sent to a centralized location in Germany so he could find other survivors from Poland.
There he learned that only seven cousins from his extended family survived.
Soon after, he married another holocaust survivor and with their infant son immigrated to the US where he changed his original name of Pik to Peck.
His young family originally settled in Paterson where the industrious Peck took a job at a upholstery manufacturing company which he later bought and ran successfully for some 25 years after.
Peck's heart rendering story of being sent to a number of punishing concentration and labor camps during his youth received a wider audience in 2016 after the publication of his biography 'Abe-vs-Adolf-The True Story of Holocaust Survivor Abe Peck,' written by New Jersey author Maya Ross.

Unspeakable horrors: Prisoners were left malnourished and lived in squalid cramped condition in camps
The Holocaust survivor was encouraged to share his story in book form after a sharing a stage with Army veteran, Harry Feinberg of Elmwood Park, who helped liberate two German death camps, at an event at a synagogue in 2012.
'Abe-vs-Adolf' was based on a number of interviews conducted by Ross who got to know Peck over the course of the four year period in which he penned the book.
'Abe's mission was to prevent this from ever happening again by teaching as many people as possible,' Ross said, referring to the Holocaust.
'In Mr. Peck's view, his long life was tantamount to victory over Adolf Hitler. Living was winning,' Ross told the New Jersey Record.
Peck's desire to tell of the horrors he witnessed developed soon after he immigrated to the the US. He was left frustrated 'that the American citizens he met did not have an inkling of the horrors which Holocaust survivors had experienced at the hands of the Nazis,' Ross said.
'Even worse, the Americans he encountered were not at all interested in learning about the tragic plight of European Jews.'

Quoting Peck, Ross said Americans didn't initially believe the suffering millions of Jews in mainland Europe went through.
'The American Jews didn't believe us ... the stories about SS men, the way they pushed us into the ghettos, the way they killed us, the way they treated us. They didn't want to hear a word about it. It was too terrible for them to believe so we shut up. I shut up for years.'
Simon Glustrom, rabbi emeritus of the Fair Lawn Jewish Center, where Peck was a pillar of the congregation, paid homage to the man saying he was positive and 'did not expect the world to look with great pity on him.'

Paying further tribute, Jacob credited his father's holocaust survival to mazel-Hebrew for 'luck' and said he felt his purpose for living was to be in a constant battle with Adolf Hitler.
'He saw he was in a battle with Hitler and the only way to win that battle was surviving,' Jacob said in an interview with the New Jersey Record.
'He felt if he survived, he could tell people about the horrors the Nazis perpetrated.'
