WASHINGTON — The Department of Health and Human Services placed more than a dozen immigrant children in the custody of human traffickers after it failed to conduct background checks of caregivers, according to a Senate report released on Thursday.

Examining how the federal agency processes minors who arrive at the border without a guardian, lawmakers said they found that it had not followed basic practices of child welfare agencies, like making home visits.

The Senate’s Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations opened its inquiry after law enforcement officials uncovered a human trafficking ring in Marion, Ohio, last year. At least six children were lured to the United States from Guatemala with the promise of a better life, then were made to work on egg farms. The children, as young as 14, had been in federal custody before being entrusted to the traffickers.

“It is intolerable that human trafficking — modern-day slavery — could occur in our own backyard,” said Senator Rob Portman, Republican of Ohio and the chairman of the subcommittee. “But what makes the Marion cases even more alarming is that a U.S. government agency was responsible for delivering some of the victims into the hands of their abusers.”

In addition to the Marion cases, the investigation found evidence that 13 other children had been trafficked after officials handed them over to adults who were supposed to care for them during their immigration proceedings. An additional 15 cases exhibited some signs of trafficking.

The report also said that it was unclear how many of the approximately 90,000 children the agency had placed in the past two years fell prey to traffickers, including sex traffickers, because it does not keep track of such cases.

“Whatever your views on immigration policy, everyone can agree that the administration has a responsibility to ensure the safety of the migrant kids that have entered government custody until their immigration court date,” Mr. Portman said.

In the fall of 2013, thousands of unaccompanied children began showing up at the southern border. Most risked abuse by traffickers and detention by law enforcement to escape dire problems like gang violence and poverty in Central America.

As detention centers struggled to keep up with the influx, the Department of Health and Human Services began placing children in the custody of sponsors who could help them while their immigration cases were reviewed. Many children who did not have relatives in the United States were placed in a system resembling foster care.

But officials at times did not examine whether an adult who claimed to be a relative actually was, relying on the word of parents, who, in some cases, went along with the traffickers to pay off smuggling debts.

Responding to the report, the Department of Health and Human Services said it had taken measures to strengthen its system, collecting information to subject potential sponsors and additional caregivers in a household to criminal background checks.

Mark Greenberg, the agency’s acting assistant secretary of the Administration for Children and Families, said it had bolstered other screening procedures and increased resources for minors.

“We are mindful of our responsibilities to these children and are continually looking for ways to strengthen our safeguards,” he said.

I guess we are pretty much on the same page.

I have been taking the red pill since about 1995.
Spent quite a bit of time research 9-11 but research all false flags in quite a bit of depth but have remained neutral as much as possible throughout.

I have always recoiled when I hear terms live " the truth MOVEMENT" or "the truth COMMUNITY" or a Qfollower or whatever.

I have never joined any "movement" or group of any kind. Part of the reason is that I am a traditional Catholic and once any groupies sniff that out in me they pounce all the Protestant bible thumping vitriol on me. Catholics also have a very different take on Jews and on "freedoms and liberties" and on revolutions and patriotism. I know of no traditional Catholics who want at all to talk about false flag events, but I imagine those are the "novus ordo" politically correct Catholic who call Franky "the Pope."

Agree this showdown we see now between "the white hats" and "the black hats", another word choice and dichotomy I am not fond of, has been in the works for a very long time.

I have followed Q from a circumspect viewpoint but do spend almost all day searching around on the web here and there.
Since the recent ostensible split in the "Q movement" do not much follow much at all daily Q drops, though no drops at all like last 7 days or so.

I do not feel like I am just a useless keyboard warrior. I try to post objective comments here and there and always try to project my Christian stance. That is following the command to expose deeds of unrighteousness and having done all to stand. Good objective and fair comments if they convey truth get a life of their own and lead to more insight and "light" for others to come out of whatever mind ruts they may be in. Basically to me the goal is to get to heaven and that is what I pray for all around me. This world is a valley of tears and I am just passing through. Just want to avoid mortal sin and addictions.

While I am no longer to do street and in person actions as I used to on several issues, I consider I still take actions of several kinds. I abstain from buying things at OWDSFA businesses and do not watch TV at all and am down to like a small handfull of websites I regularly go for info.

I am kind of sad that there is no video platform created that allows moderated comments and is not mainly about soliciting donations and respects the right kind of First Amendment discussion.

Tucson anon here again, with an update on the child sex trafficking camp found on I-19 and Valencia:
We're onto something huge here, anons. Hundreds of us citizens have gone out to see the camp and we're finding more of them as we speak. People are trying to get cadaver dogs out here, since the police and federal authorities are still refusing to investigate even though we have more evidence on these sick bastards than you can imagine. From what we can tell, the camp had to have had 4-6 men operating it at a given time. A cartel member responsible for the camp showed themselves earlier and attempted to scare us off the property despite having no legal right to do so. Needless to say, it didn't work. After it became clear to him how screwed he was, he disappeared on horseback into the Tohono O'odham reservation.

The company that owns the property is Cemex Construction Materials South, LLC. They have attempted to get us to leave, but have not sent anyone directly tied to the ownership of the land. Our citizens are occupying the area until the fences are repaired and the site is fully secured. TPD says we have until Monday morning to do so, but we’re not leaving till the work is done. Cemex has threatened to send in private security, but we have armed guards of our own standing watch.

Anons, we have found combs with blonde hair in them. We have found boxes full of kids toys and condoms. We may have even found graves already (we stopped digging halfway when the smell got too bad). People are walking out of here traumatized from what they've seen. Yet the government does nothing. OUR PEOPLE AND OUR CHILDREN HAVE BEEN FORSAKEN.

The local media is trying to spin this like we're making it up and are actively working with cartel members (KGUN 9, I'm talking about you). We need all anons willing to help to spread word of this on any social media platform you have an account on using the #OperationBackyardBrawl and #WhereAreTheChildren hashtags, along with any more you see fit. We've had some brave patriots come and take high quality footage of one of the camps, so God willing the truth with be brought to light.

This is it, anons. This is an opportunity to expose everything we've discovered about the global sex trafficking trade to the masses. The government is complicit, the police administrators are complicit (the officers are not, they want to help as much as the rest of us), and the media is complicit. I recall hearing of this company trying for the contract to build "The Wall", important project of President Trump. Do not know where that stands but I do not think the federal government and any taxpayers from any country should be paying for The Wall if it means giving multi-million dollar cement contract to a company like Cemex that is complicit in child trafficking and murder.

But according to a former NXIVM insider, Sen. Gillibrand has even more family connections than Rutnik. That would be her step-mother, Gwenn Belcourt – who, according to the source, was personally targeted by NXIVM President Nancy Salzman for inclusion in the cult.

“Nancy pulled out all the stops to get Gwenn involved in NXIVM activities. She spent an enormous amount of time with her and we all thought that Gwenn was hooked,” the source said. “Had it not been for Rutnik’s efforts to get Gwenn out, she would have quickly become part of the inner circle. Keith had spotted her early on and wanted her to become NXIVM’s inside attorney.”

Rutnik and Belcourt married sometime after she left the cult. But apparently, neither of them ever mentioned anything to Sen. Gillibrand about all this. Unless, of course, Sen. Gillibrand is lying about her lack of awareness of the cult.

Apparently, Sen. Gillibrand also doesn’t read the Times Union or the New York Post. Because between the two of them, those newspapers have featured at least 20 NXIVM-related stories over the years.

Kirsten Gillibrand, a little-known Democratic congresswoman, is to replace Hillary Clinton as New York senator, an aide to the governor, David Paterson, said today.

The news comes a day after Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of John Kennedy and the most famous name vying for the seat, withdrew her candidacy.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, an aide to the governor told the AP news agency that Gillibrand would be officially named by Paterson later today.

The governor will announce his selection at noon (5pm GMT) in Albany. An aide to Gillibrand told the New York Times that she had accepted the appointment.

Gillibrand lacked the name recognition of Kennedy or the seniority of other New York representatives in the running. But her performance in her eastern New York district marked her out as a rising star and put her on the radar of Democratic leaders.

Having never held public office, she defeated an entrenched Republican incumbent in 2006, running an aggressive campaign and raising millions of dollars. She cruised to re-election last year. But Gillibrand, a centrist endorsed by the National Rifle Association, is likely to prove a controversial choice among some party liberals.
