Not to get bogged down in the drama, but a good number of knowledgable posters I liked seem to be here. I was Blorp on GIM. I followed the trail of bread crumbs and beer bottles to this place. :P

Figured I'd use the handle I use on other sites instead of my old GIM handle. I'll probably change my ava in a few days to my gaming avatar but figured I'd use this one for the transitional period.

LOL... I've just seen "GSUSers" used a time or two here and it's just weird looking to me.

GSer rhymes with BSer, but oh well I guess.

Gold is still money... We were the soul of the original GIM - the GIM2 is just that - second rate.

I like the feel of this place much better, thanks for who posted links at the "other site" to get me here. I never registered at gim2, but lurked, and even that made the hair on my neck stand up. Maybe it's just me but the "other site" just feels creepy.

I gave GIM2 a try but I have to agree with what others are saying: it is creepy and weird. It seems hollow, like the soul has been sucked out leaving an empty shell.
After 5+ years with GIM as my internet homepage their suicide was a major shock.
I look forward to the future here. Hopefully, after our righteous anger and disappointment subsides, this forum will be even better than the old school GIM.
