We should all be praying for brother Gaillo's quick medical recovery in his own Karma thread.

holy shit, book! when you're right, you're right.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amun
Quote:
As the Egyptians considered themselves oppressed during the period of the Hyksos rule, the victory accomplished by pharaohs who worshipped Amun, brought him to be seen as a champion of the less fortunate. Consequently, Amun was viewed as upholding the rights of justice for the poor. By aiding those who traveled in his name, he became the Protector of the road. Since he upheld Ma'at (truth, justice, and goodness) , those who prayed to Amun were required, first, to demonstrate that they were worthy by confessing their sins. Votive stela from the artisans village at Deir el-Medina record:
[Amun] who comes at the voice of the poor in distress, who gives breath to him who is wretched..You are Amun, the Lord of the silent, who comes at the voice of the poor; when I call to you in my distress You come and rescue me...Though the servant was disposed to do evil, the Lord is disposed to forgive. The Lord of Thebes spends not a whole day in anger; His wrath passes in a moment; none remains. His breath comes back to us in mercy..May your ka be kind; may you forgive; It shall not happen again.
Much later, because of the evidence of the adoration given to Amun in many regions during the height of his cult, Greek travellers to Egypt would report that Amun—who they determined to be the ruler of the Egyptian pantheon—was similar to the leader of the Classical Greek pantheon, Zeus, and therefore they became identified by the Greeks as the same deity. Likewise, Amun's consort Mut became associated by these Greeks with Zeus's consort in the Classical pantheon, Hera.
Praises of Amun on stelae are strikingly similar in language to those later used in the reign of Akhenaton, in particular the Hymn to the Aten :
"When thou crossest the sky, all faces behold thee, but when thou departest, thou are hidden from their faces.. When thou settest in the western mountain, then they sleep in the manner of death..The fashioner of that which the soil produces,...a mother of profit to gods and men; a patient craftsmen, greatly wearying himself as their maker..valiant herdsman, driving his cattle, their refuge and the making of their living..The sole Lord, who reaches the end of the lands every day, as one who sees them that tread thereon..Every land chatters at his rising every day, in order to praise him."
You can deny it all you want Santa but Magnes verbaly kicked some asses. The General of Darkness and Book have done the same here and on Gim1.
Reminds me of when Jesus Christ himself kicked over the tables, grabbed a whip and ran the Jews out of the Temple. HaHaHa!;D

Good job, Tumbleweed. You are totally awesome. :)
And the logic put forth in this thread is astounding too.
1. Make assertion that pigs fly.
2. Back up assertion with another assertion that pigs fly.
3. Make assertion that pigs fly with capital letters.
4. Back assertion with a list of previous assertions that pigs fly.
5. Make assertion that pigs fly with bolded capitalized letters.
6. Scream assertion that pigs fly.
7. Fall back spent and satisfied that the pigs flying assertion is fact.
8. Pass out on couch where flying pigs live.
Can't argue such rock solid assertions as these. ;)

::) like that will ever happen...lol.
That was what happened to you, wasn't it? Didn't you say before you left {the last time} that you felt unwelcome here? Well, that's exactly how Jesus made the money changers feel. lol
See how much you have in common with them? It's like you discovered your real parents or something. lol

Quote:
"In the beginning was the Word (Logos), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1:1)...
This secret gnosis emphasized spiritual "resurrection" (i.e,. spiritual rebirth) and physical "resurrection" (i.e., reincarnation) as opposed to a resurrection defined as people sleeping in their graves until it is time their corpses to crawl out of their graves at the last day. Christian Gnostics held the view that if spiritual resurrection was not attained in one lifetime, then the soul would be subjected to as many reincarnations as it takes until spiritual rebirth is attained.
One of the great Church leaders was Clement of Alexandria in Egypt (150-211 A.D.) who indicated that he possessed the secret teaching handed down from the apostles.
In the Gnostic text entitled The Secret Gospel of Mark, one of the Christian Gnostic texts discovered in 1945, describes Jesus performing secret initiation rituals. Before the discovery of this secret gospel, our only knowledge of it came from a letter written by Clement. Clement quotes from this secret gospel and refers to it as, "a more spiritual gospel for the use of those who were being perfected." He also states, "It even yet is most carefully guarded [by the church at Alexandria], being read only to those who are being initiated into the great mysteries." Clement mentions elsewhere that Jesus revealed a secret teaching to those who were "capable of receiving it and being molded by it" He also affirmed that, "The gnosis (secret knowledge) itself is that which has descended by transmission to a few, having been imparted unwritten by the apostles." (Miscell. Book VI, Chapter 7)
The existence of a secret teaching can be found in the New Testament:
The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables so that, 'they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding' (Mark 4:11-12)
"He replied, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance." (Matt. 13:11-12)
"We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began." (1 Cor. 2:6-8 )
"So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things of God." (1 Cor. 4:1)
"At that time Jesus said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and Earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure." (Matt. 11:25-26)
Quote:
"See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.” (Matt. 18:10)
Magnes equates the gnostics as being related to satanists. I'm not sure why.
Absolutely, it wouldn't surprise me in the least that early Christians were influenced by the concept of "karma".
Christians must have read and mulled over and adopted many ideas that came from early "occult pagan" theologies.
Quote:
A concept of karma (along with samsara and moksha) may originate in the shramana tradition of which Buddhism and Jainism are continuations. This tradition influenced the Brahmanic religion in the early Vedantic (Upanishadic) movement of the 1st millennium BC. This worldview was adopted from this religious culture by Brahmin orthodoxy, and Brahmins wrote the earliest recorded scriptures containing these ideas in the early Upanishads.

Good Monday... :p
Certainly, rulers adopting christianity didn't really appreciate people running around thinking they had god inside them, better to censor scriptures, and accuse anyone with a differing view of christianity of blasphemy and have them killed. I doubt that the pagan Roman emperors would have had any problems with the christians of today... Give to Ceasar what belongs to Ceasar, Love thy Enemy, turn the other chin...
"delivery" "equates" all an act, directly opposed to awareness sum of which is ignorance anti-truth.
Total Pilgrim.

in quotes.
Ichthys <><
The fish symbol used by the earl Christians to secretly share the Faith.
Fish may have been used as symbols before Christianity, possibly representing several goddesses;[5] it has been associated with Aphrodite, Atargatis, Dagon, Ephesus, Isis, Delphine and Pelagia.
They used the fish as subterfuge, so if Roman Law came around they could shrug their shoulders and praise Aphrodite or something.
True, when in constant contact no individual act is required.

Yes, Mags engaged in witch burning and wanted to retaliate physically, which is where he was wrong.Quote:

People who go around labeling others, are the trolls. Kinda like what Mags has been doing for-ever. ie labeling and accusing others while refusing to look at himself in the same light.Quote:

Have you noticed DJ's karma schooling is getting better daily, keehah?
He's actually able to conjugate without slurring recently.
Responding with made up names and attempts at insults merely show ones lack of intellect, Horn.
