Re: Alex Jones taken behind the Woodshed
If it's impossible to eradicate something through force, then you have to use reason as the only tool left available.
Today that is the global political arena in a highly interconnected, and increasingly communicative world.
In order to do well in that political arena it's imperative to possess a clean record (i.e. no fringe associations, drugs, hookers, scandals, and the like).
Being perceived as impartial, fair, and honest is most effective way to engage the highest level of reason on a majority scale.
In the past brute force was still an option, (no internet, video cams, and cell phones).
That all has changed. It's a different game.

I suppose the question is how long before way too many people are unable to find work only to pay 75+% taxes just to keep it going?
Then, after all the dust settles, one group is still going revert back to wanting that exclusive little spot of land based upon the same political ideology.
The only conclusion I'm seeing is the "force" of reason has to be applied, on a majority scale, to a political ideology.
How else?

Whether it's force or reason, it seems to me that fundamentally you're still fighting it. In one case it's a war with guns, in another case it's a war of books, media, academia, etc. I can't say if these are truly different or not, but I think that it's possible they're pretty close.
The third option is to disengage. It's like a puzzle that is impossible to solve, like that star trek episode where they download this impossible math problem into the borg's ship to disable them. Instead of trying to find a "solution", through force or ideology, just simply don't answer the question. Make it irrelevant by not relying on it. Don't allow it to consume all your free time and thinking. Don't support it.
Time itself will solve the problem, as long as the feedback loop is broken.

Agree 100% disengage. Bang on the money.
I just went on a Star Trek next gen download fest the other day, so I'll be revisiting that episode shortly ;)
I think the only available force of reason (or the quickest one) is to highlight the racial discrepancies of an apartheid state by distancing yourself, as far as possible.
Disengage from that type of behavior, and follow that trend through until completion.
Make it stick out like a sore thumb. A failed ideology. Bad policy.
I mean, what are the odds of South Africa being able to get back to their version, in any great capacity, before too many people object, and intervene?
It all goes back to my original argument.

Now one is forced to ask, what you've been smokin?
Politicians aren't worth a hill of beans anymore, they're bought & paid for by criminal enterprise interests.Yes, they must be washed before boot licking.
Its an inside job, one to be followed through example of disassociation, "a seige of the system".
Alex has bills to pay, but could be done thru reasonable advertising, not koolaid.

Ultimately it's just as ol' Ben Franklin said: Force shits upon Reason's back.

Agreed, but Mr Frankin was living in a different era where force could be used without everyone around the world knowing about it in a matter of minutes. There was no alternate media, and means for everyone to communicate globally, and at great length collectively.
The game has changed. Pretty much anyone in the world can record events taking place, and make them available for everyone to witness, and go viral.

Good point. But that's not really reason, it's simply awareness. Awareness transcends reason....think about it: if you knew everything, logical deduction would be pointless. You'd simply already know the answer. It's like the memory vs processing tradeoff in computing. You don't need to use the processor if you can instead use tons of memory, for certain problems. In the same way, we don't need to use faulty human reasoning and logic as much once information transfer and the knowledge pool becomes vast enough.

Yes, and some politicians conceal all this very well, and when any of those traits are discovered, and made apparent, (fringe behavior, racism, scandal, drugs, etc...), it's very much a career ending reality.
Look at what Clinton got impeached over. How did they try to ruin Ron Paul? Racism, and fringe behavior.
The whole process feeds off those who willingly perpetuate the intolerance, and hatred. Why keep feeding it? Why keep legitimizing it?
Disengage from that type of behavior from a public perspective at the very least.

Agree. Once enough people become aware of the situation, the crisis is averted by default.
The situation has to be clearly defined though. Any grey areas of contention (indecisiveness) seem to infinitely prolong the process.
For example: Spray paint a certain logo, or death threat, on a wall then claim someone else did it to elicit public outrage, and sympathy. It's a very effective tactic.
But, what's even better, is if other people do it for you willingly, and also make 24/7 websites (much higher visibility) where people go nuts burning witches all day long based on identity rather than policy.
That reality (aka part of the equation) has to be removed.
