How many of us might be considered "Dealers"?
Many people buy gold or silver when prices are low, and sometimes sell or trade when spot prices are up. So a private individual who routinely buys and sometimes sells, might be considered a 'dealer' - especially by a revenue-hungry city or state.
The penalties are extreme.

Re: How many of us might be considered "Dealers"?
I guess they see an opportunity in scamming the growing non-cash underground market that is to overtake the "fake" market in short time. Madison is chock full of students and libtards that teach them, and bureaucrats that regulate the whole fucking shit hole. They should start their own country.

Re: How many of us might be considered "Dealers"?
What I don't understand is that gold/silver is a hedge against currency devaluation. So, if it goes up in "value", that is only because the dollar has "lost value". Then the increase in pm's isn't really a "profit" but a securing/safeguard of value. So, why do we get taxed on it? Kinda f*cked in my mind............

I would advise all members to avoid answering questions like this, especially ones that imply anything that could be used to assign a title such as "second hand dealer" with the associated "severe penalties". Most of us here are savvy enough not to ask questions like this. Am I paranoid? Sure, but that doesn't mean they're really not out there... ;)

Quote:
This new law requires that secondhand dealers, including secondhand jewelry dealers and pawnbrokers report the purchase of secondhand goods, on a daily basis, through the use of a web-based software called Leads Online.
Use of the word "include" is used in the legal sense to exclude anything not listed. Therefore secondhand dealers are ONLY secondhand jewelry dealers and pawnbrokers.
Too many people ASSUME that the words used actually mean what they say they mean. Instead construe these words by the definitions provided and, if they apply, act accordingly.
Expressio unius est exclusio alterius. The expression of one thing is the exclusion of another.

madison wisconsin is insane. they banned drive-through windows on any new construction projects last year because idling cars add to global warming.

Re: How many of us might be considered "Dealers"?
Some of you guys are pretty funny. You remind me of that old movie with the famous line, "I know who you are, and I saw what you did" - with the result of paranoid (guilty?) people going ballistic. Funny as hell.
Me? I couldn't care less who you really are or where you actually live. Let alone what the fuck you do. Just a conversation-starter. And boy, some of you go insane! You're too funny.
(PS: I'm still on my first screen name here. How many have YOU had?)

Re: How many of us might be considered "Dealers"?
Lots of people have developed their hobbies to the point where they make some money. I know of a couple guys who buy old cars, fix them up and resell them for a profit. If they do more than X number of cars a year, they're technically dealers. So the way they do it is leave the titles open - they never have the cars in their name. Or if they have to put in a name, it may be the wife, one of their kids, a neighbor or friend... You get the picture.
I know a Ham radio operator who likes to mess around with special circuits. He builds some little antenna attenuators and sells them to other Ham enthusiasts, as a side business. I have a lady friend who has a sewing machine that does embroidery, and she does special jackets and such for the local high school athletic teams. Some people breed horses or tropical fish. You name it. One thing we all have in common: The government has become a predator, and we're all just red meat to them. So stay below the radar, or outside the jurisdictions of those who would shake you down.

I've had 3, and I've asked the mods to change it each time so no sock puppets here.
No way in hell you are not a sock puppet of someone, and since sock puppets are against the rules I put forward the motion that you be banned, all in favor say "aye" all opposed say "nay"

I do not offer a vote because the rules do not provide for a vote; this matter is at the discretion of JQP & Co.
The burden of proof lies upon the claimant; LuckyStrike has merely offered speculation to support his position. This farce of his may yet be considered a personal attack, and I advise Lucky that luck is the residue of design.
The only to conclusively determine who is a sockpuppet of whom is for an administrator to compare IP addresses. Posting from the same IP address within a short period of time on two accounts would indicate that they belong to the same user. As mundane users do not have access to IP data, none of us can make this determination.

nay. No one has proved the case. All on your assumption. Until the guy outs himself, then all allegations are a personal attack.

LOL, funny you should pipe up which brings us to our second order of business.
I make a motion that Fenris should also be banned because sock puppets are against site rules. All in favor say "aye" all opposed say "no"

I again offer no vote because the rules do not provide for one etc. etc.; see my earlier post.
Would you be so kind as to cite the rule you allege I have violated?

Re: How many of us might be considered "Dealers"?
it would seem that with your last post you have violated the first rule, xizang... calling someone an idiot is not very respectful, imho...
rule #1 seems to be the most frequently violated of all the rules.

Re: How many of us might be considered "Dealers"?
maybe xizang, fenris and Lucky Strike can all head over to the T-dome to settle this... haven't there been enough thread derailments lately?
i'll put my $$ on LS.

perhaps you should solve your own problem by placing the attacker on ignore? it seems to be a feature we all (myself included,) could utilize a little more to help avoid forum conflicts, no?
...if that doesn't work for you, go to the mods, thats what they're for...

So how did you find this forum? Why did you make no introduction?
This goes for xizang as well, but he won't last long at the rate he is breaking rules.
-
Re: How many of us might be considered "Dealers"?
1) I found the forum via a link posted on 4chan /x/
2) I made no introduction on account that I did not see where others had done so, and in light of it, it seemed pompous.
Having answered your questions, I would suggest a formal apology for the personal attacks you have, through unfounded accusations, made against myself and Xizang.

I do not recall specifically as it was several weeks ago, though it was likely in 'conspiracy theories'.

There is also a 4 sock puppet troll on here making threats, no ban.
Lots of people joined recently or restarted posting, to pile on.
They seem to all know each other and communicate in chat.
Post has been edited, Vb is stalling on me.

On here, I have other accounts on other boards.
I know ἀγορά was a place in in the Greek poleis where people brought and sold, GIM is short for 'gold is money', but the rest I do not know.
Now, it is your turn to answer questions:
Is there a pine cone lodged in your rectum at this moment? What other things have you lodged in there? Have you ever had anal haemorrhaging? Does it hurt when you sit?
note: I am being rhetorical to demonstrate the absurd nature of his questions

Skirnir if that is you, playing troll , have you lost your mind ?
You can't trust anyone these days !
Read the above link given, people.
Nobody here should be banned unless it is a blatant personal attack.
There are people here that do not even get a ban for that.
4 sock puppet trolls doing that, no ban.
I would put money on it, this is skirnir, why you hiding skirnir ?
If this is skirnir and he verifies it, he can swear at me all he wants, NO BAN !

What does Antonio have to do with this thread? What does chat have to do with this thread? Chat is a peaceful place, where friends enjoy each other's company.
You know, this thread sucks. It's all full of personal attacks and a bunch of BS.
I was thinking how great life is, how it's this gift we all have, I spent my day with nature surrounding me....and to relax, I read this thread. What a waste of time. This thread is not GSUS worthy.
