I learned that the prevailing academic explanation for poverty in Africa is nurture, not nature. As in, their IQs are generally much lower because they don't have all of the benefits and privileges of modern civilization.

This might be a bit simplistic, but this is what I think.... I think it's Nature [IQ, ability to develop] that drives the Nurture [Life expectations, maintaining what's been built and progressing it] of societies.

Blacks on the whole only know how to destroy and cannot develop. There's a reason why Haiti looks like Haiti even though t's been built up three times. There's a reason why Haiti looks like Africa, There's a reason why Detroit and Baltimore look like Haiti/Africa. Let me think.... there's one common denominator. This is where Leftists/Liberals get it all wrong-- the core belief that we are all alike and equal. If there is a group of people that is at a higher level than others, there must be some racism afoot or one group has taken advantage of another.
