What the real headline should make clear is that scientists (may have) figured out exactly what gene allows a worm to grow into two new worms if you break it in half. That's an already known about ability of worms, and does not mean in any way at all it means someday scientists will figure out how to get people to regrow anything at all, (even as little as a finger) one of our fingers is more complex than a worm and there's a reason why we don't regrow them.
