    Pistol caliber arguments are dumb

That said, make mine a pistol in 5.56 (at least 2,200 fps).

    A 9sillymeter is as effective as a .44 magnum.

You can jump to 7:38 to get to the meat (pardon the pun).

We used to use a .22 rifle to kill 1,500 lb cows. They work for squirrels and rabbits too.

Great post MR. After spending an hour following the links I'm now seriously considering buying a Glock 42 and using Hydra-Shok.

Good choice. I’ve a Glock 42 myself however lately I’ve gone with appendix carry and I don’t like the idea of a semi auto pointed at my groin so I either carry a LCR* or SP101 with 2.25" barrel appendix carry, loaded with Underwood .38 +p+ using Gold Bullets.

*I learned the hard way that the LCR in rimfire totally sucks - the trigger pull is atrocious (it needs that heavy DA trigger pull for reliability)

I need a front pocket cargo shorts concealed weapon for hot 100-degree Summer days.

Walther PPK/S is very safe with one in the chamber but much too heavy.

Any more thoughts on the Glock 42 or something hopefully even better for front pocket cargo shorts?

I have quite a few pocket guns in .22 magnum, 380 and 32 auto. The video below is of a model of pocket gun that I carry a lot and I really like it. It ain't much but I sure as hell wouldn't want to get shot with one either.

My neighbor carries one. I wonder if rimfire reliably goes BANG every time the trigger is pulled. We're talking about depending on it with our lives.

On really hot days I carry my Glock 33 in a Galco Jackass rig with a canted holster. It's really comfortable and I wear it next to my skin and with a loose shirt that's untucked. In the video below the guy shows the jackass rigs and one of them is with the canted holster.

The LCP II is a great pocket pistol.
