They believed that only North Korea's nuclear armament could achieve this goal. As long as only one side is nuclear-armed, there is no reason for this side to give up nuclear weapons. As an American citizen, I’d just like to say to you that I don’t care about the past, about who may have been right or wrong, about what anyone else in the past may or may not have done and what their motivations might or might not have been. Chairman Kim, President Trump, and President Moon are actually solving a problem that has plagued the world for decades, the 70-plus years long conflict on the Korean Peninsula, and they’re solving it RIGHT NOW. That’s what matters. Peace is the prize. I truly hope that peace between North and South is achieved.
