No 42 is way more complex. It is the meaning of life (l) universe (u) and everything (e) together l+u+e=42 . However everything would by necessity include life and universe as well + everything else which isn’t life and universe (x) e=l+u+x
So the equation becomes l+u+l+u+x=42 —> 2l+2u+x=42 —> 2l=42-2u-x —> l=21-u-x/2
So the meaning of life is equal to 21- (meaning of universe) - half of the (meaning of everything which isn’t life and universe).
