I don't see anything "weird".

Yeah, I noticed that in the past week or so. A number of times, the visitor number was really high (over a thousand or something). Kind of strange, I just assumed it was bots or something. Seems like the usual number is around 200-300, but only 50 of so of us post. Not sure who those people are either.

As far as I can tell it's mostly bots and web crawlers. I wouldn't doubt if we have a dozen or more regular lurkers, but not much more than that.

Exactly, no way 2-300 people are here regularly to read our posts. Another thing to consider is that each time you read a thread with a new post, it is counted as a view. So for instead if you have a long thread of let’s say 100 posts and 15 of us has looked on it 30 times average. That alone would count as 450 views.

Of course a jump in view count may be because someone take a particular interest in us also. Why anyone would do that at our asylum at the edge of the known internet is beyond me though...
