Okay, I just went over there and posted about this on a few threads. I'm not there much at all these days (I'm really mentally burned out from this ongoing HOAX marathon), but whenever I go there, I'll be sure to post your message and let them know.

    The internet has become T.V.

I dont think it will have power to mold minds the way tv did in its FCC days. We used to only have one channel the entire family could watch.

Obviously Zero Hedge has not banned me. Their restrictions on speech and expression of ideas will change my behaviour.

Good luck to Zero Hedge in the future. Their CURATED LISTS of 'news' articles interest me far less than the stellar comments that some Users present.

The Leftards that have brought Google to bear on Zero Hedge must have the freedoms to express their hatred of capital systems and free markets, including the free market of ideas, thought, and speech.

However, Leftism will kill the republic and the hard fought liberties that have so energized the American people. Zero Hedge has added several nails to their own coffin.

Going forward, I now have lowered expectations of Zero Hedge as a result of their censorship.

Google bans website ZeroHedge from its ad platform over comments on protest articles
A Google spokesperson said in an email that it took action after determining the website violated its policies on content related to race.

    une 16, 2020, 1:24 PM CDT / Updated June 17, 2020, 6:59 AM CDT
    By Adele-Momoko Fraser

Google has banned ZeroHedge, a far-right website that often traffics in conspiracy theories, from its advertising platform over policy violations found in the comments section of stories about recent Black Lives Matter protests.

Google also issued a warning on Tuesday to The Federalist over comments on articles related to recent protests.

A Google spokesperson said in an email on Monday that it demonetized the websites after determining they violated its policies on content related to race.

“We have strict publisher policies that govern the content ads can run on and explicitly prohibit derogatory content that promotes hatred, intolerance, violence or discrimination based on race from monetizing," the spokesperson wrote. "When a page or site violates our policies, we take action. In this case, we’ve removed both sites’ ability to monetize with Google.”

After publication of this story, Google backtracked Tuesday, clarifying that The Federalist h

ad been warned about policy violations but still had time to address them. It now has three days to remove the violations before a ban goes into effect.

On Wednesday morning, Google said The Federalist had removed the comments that violated its policies and that it would take no further action.

Google notified ZeroHedge of the policy violations last week and banned the website from its ad platform.

Google's ban comes after the company was notified of research from the Center for Countering Digital Hate, a British nonprofit that combats online hate and misinformation. They found that 10 U.S-based websites have published what they say are racist articles about the protests, and projected that the websites would make millions of dollars through Google Ads.

ZeroHedge had already been demonetized prior to NBC News’ inquiry, Google said. ZeroHedge and The Federalist did not respond to requests for comment.

Imran Ahmed, CEO of the Center for Countering Digital Hate, said it found advertisements for many companies that had otherwise made public statements supporting Black Lives Matter and the recent protests running on the websites.

“We found that lots of those companies are inadvertently funding through their advertising content that is outright racist in defense of white supremacism and contains conspiracy theories about George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement," he said.

Google has banned various websites from its advertising platform in recent years, mostly targeting fake news operations.

ZeroHedge and The Federalist have become well known in recent years for publishing far-right articles on a variety of subjects. On the recent protests, ZeroHedge published an article claiming that protests were fake, while The Federalist published an article claiming the media had been lying about looting and violence during the protests, which were both included in the research sent to Google.

As the Black Lives Matter protests unfolded over recent weeks, hundreds of corporations eagerly lent their support. This includes Google, which said it has donated “$12 million in funding to organizations working to address racial inequities.”

There are other similar websites that continue to generate revenue through Google, causing continued concern for civil rights advocates. In its research, the Center for Countering Digital Hate pointed to examples of articles on other far-right websites such that carried advertisements by well-known brands while disseminating false narratives about the protest movement.

The issue also poses significant risks for brand security.

Caroline McCarthy, vice president of communications and content at TrueX, a digital advertising company, said companies need to hold Google and other digital advertising companies responsible for where their ads run.

“The reality is that they [brands] have to start by asking questions,” McCarthy said “They have to say, what is my brand content going to be running against? And if the other person on the other side of the conversation can’t give them a straight answer, then that’s a problem.”

“The pressure on the tech companies is only going to come from dollars actually, literally getting pulled,” she said

Google Ads bans Zero Hedge for racist content, but reverses decision on The Federalist

Google claims commenters, not articles, were the culprits

NBC News reported the change earlier today, and it followed a report from the Center for Countering Digital Hate, which called out a number of companies for hosting ads on sites promoting unsubstantiated or false claims about recent Black Lives Matter protests. It cited a Zero Hedge article calling Black Lives Matter “practically a revolutionary operative of the CIA via [George] Soros,” as well as a Federalist story blaming violence and looting at protests on “left-wing anarchists and antifa groups.” The Federalist has previously been criticized after organizing posts with the tag “black crime” and promoting “chickenpox parties” for catching the novel coronavirus.

    Visa Bans Gab

Visa has banned Gab from their payment processing services. The browser, comment, and social media tech company can no longer process donations or funds through any of Visa’s services.

The news about the ban was revealed through a newsletter notice sent out by Gab, where they explained the situation, writing…

“Gab has been blacklisted by Visa for ‘promoting hate speech.’

“Gab does no such thing. This is like saying Google “promotes hate speech” because you can search for racial slurs on their search engine and get results. Gab is a neutral technology platform. We follow the law, have an excellent relationship with law enforcement, and have a clear set of community guidelines that detail what is allowed on our website and what is not.

“The bottom line is that Gab is not controlled and cannot be controlled by the oligarchic elite who are working to overthrow our countries and infect them with communism. It’s no coincidence that Katie Hopkins was banned from Twitter today, Zerohedge and The Federalist had their comment sections censored by Google, and VDARE is getting banned by their domain registrar. All of this is coordinated. It’s targeted.

“Where is the President? Where is Congress?

“Tweeting and ‘monitoring the situation.’ That’s where. “

    They’re not wrong.

President Donald Trump has been “monitoring the situation” for the past year, and even his executive order to strip Big Tech of their 230 protections is more about posturing than taking actions.

Even after Google forced The Federalist and Zero Hedge to nuke and censor the comments, the most that happened was that Tucker Carlson took Google to task, a few Conservatives puffed their chests on social media, and then everything went back to normal.

As pointed out in the newsletter by Gab, banks are still operating with the “Operation Choke Point” mandate, blacklisting and stonewalling services and businesses that they claim are “high-risk”…

“No one is coming to save us and no one is coming to save you. It’s on all of us to save ourselves.

“So we have lost credit card processing yet again after a year and a half of working to get it restored. We have been under attack at the payment processing level all month long. In early June we were abruptly banned by two separate underwriting banks without cause.

“’Risk related reasons’ is the excuse. These banks have no problem processing payments for pornography websites which are loaded with child exploitation, human trafficking, and more. They have no problem processing payments for cannabis, which is still illegal at the federal level. They have no problems processing payments for gambling websites.

“Gab sells t-shirts, hats, and a software subscription service. I guess that’s ‘high risk’ to these people.”

It’s true, no one is coming to save you.

Centrists™ will say, “Well Gab should build their own payment processor!” and they already have, but further up the chain they’re still being blackballed by the processing authorities.

Freedom is on its death throes, and nearly every Conservative has stood by and watched as the embers of sovereignty burn out under the stifling cloud of Left-wing induced anarchy.

This is the end. We tried to warn you. You lost

NBC, Google, Foreign Fascists Target Conservative Media
The Federalist, Zero Hedge, and the fight for a free press

    Jeffrey Lord
    June 20, 2020

Well isn’t this typical of exactly the problem. NBC News’ Adele-Momoko Fraser, a London based “journalist” with the NBC News Verification Unit, happily wrote this story that was posted on the NBC website. The headline:

Google bans website ZeroHedge from its ad platform over comments on protest articles

The “journalist” reported her story this way:

“Google has banned ZeroHedge, a far-right website that often traffics in conspiracy theories, from its advertising platform over policy violations found in the comments section of stories about recent Black Lives Matter protests.

Google also issued a warning on Tuesday to The Federalist over comments on articles related to recent protests.

A Google spokesperson said in an email on Monday that it demonetized the websites after determining they violated its policies on content related to race.

“We have strict publisher policies that govern the content ads can run on and explicitly prohibit derogatory content that promotes hatred, intolerance, violence or discrimination based on race from monetizing,” the spokesperson wrote. “When a page or site violates our policies, we take action. In this case, we’ve removed both sites’ ability to monetize with Google.”

After the publication of this story, Google backtracked Tuesday, clarifying that The Federalist had been warned about policy violations but still had time to address them. It now has three days to remove the violations before a ban goes into effect.

On Wednesday morning, Google said The Federalist had removed the comments that violated its policies and that it would take no further action.

Google notified ZeroHedge of the policy violations last week and “banned the website from its ad platform.”

Further down in her story, Fraser reports this:

“Google’s ban comes after the company was notified of research from the Center for Countering Digital Hate, a British nonprofit that combats online hate and misinformation. They found that 10 U.S-based websites have published what they say are racist articles about the protests, and projected that the websites would make millions of dollars through Google Ads.”

So, inquiring reader, you might ask: What is “the Center for Countering Digital Hate,” that is headed by one Imran Ahmed? Because NBC certainly wasn’t going to tell you.

Here’s the answer as diligently reported by the real journalists at The Daily Caller:

“The Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), founded in 2019 by Labour party organizers, put out a call for donations Tuesday after NBC News reported that Google was poised to ban The Federalist and Zero Hedge, a libertarian-leaning website, from making money off of Google Ads.”

    Full stop.

Behold, recall the uproar over foreign interference in the 2016 presidential election? Well, apparently standards have changed. Now foreign interference in the 2020 presidential election, this time by a far-left British group, is perfectly ok with NBC and others – make that even necessary.

And note well the role of supposed “journalist” Adele-Momoko Fraser. When Google moved on the two American conservative sites, Fraser tweeted this:

NEW — from @NBC_VC. Thanks to @SFFakeNews and @CCDHate for their hard work and collaboration! https://t.co/dorhdZy1t1

    — Adele-Momoko Fraser (@AMFraserNBC) June 16, 2020

Catch that word? That would be a thanks for “collaboration.” And “@SFFAKENews” is identified as “CCDH’s affiliate.” The Daily Caller also says that “Stop Funding Fake News, claimed on Wednesday that it had pressured Ford, the automaker, to consider dropping ads on Breitbart News, another conservative website that the British non-profit has accused of publishing racist material.”

And then there’s this: “CCDH and Stop Funding Fake News have also set their sights on conservative outlets like American Greatness, WND, and the American Thinker.”

Let’s cut to the chase. What CCDH and Stop Funding Fake News are really about is straight out fascism. Over here is this description of Italy’s fascist leader Mussolini and his view of the press, bold print for emphasis supplied:

“Journalists were, like all other professions, encouraged to see their occupation as one of many forms of service to the nation, to participate actively in the education and inculcation of the Italian people. Recall that Mussolini saw himself as a revolutionary and his government as a living embodiment of transformative new ideas. The transmittal of these ideas and relatedly the cultivation of a soldierly esprit de corps was, to Mussolini’s mind, a primary responsibility of the Italian press. No such idea of adversarial journalism, of subjecting the actions of state to investigation and scrutiny, was to infect the minds of the nation’s newspaper writers and editors. Rather Mussolini contended that “Fascism requires militant journalism,” the country’s newspapers presenting themselves “as a solid bloc,” committed to “the Cause” and obscuring or outrightly burying any fact or story antithetical to it.”

Sound familiar? What the CCDH and Stop Funding Fake News are really about is straight-up fascism: using Google and pressuring advertisers to eliminate the “idea of adversarial journalism, of subjecting the actions of state to investigation and scrutiny” because it might “infect the minds of the nation’s newspaper writers and editors.” And they are being helped by – NBC.

There are three serious problems here.

    1. Foreign interference in the 2020 US presidential election by the CCDH.

    2. The collaboration between NBC, Google and foreign actors to shut down the free press rights of The Federalist and Zero Hedge.

    3. The stated intention of the CCDH, as reported, to shut down other American conservative media outlets, silencing Americans who may or do disagree with the propaganda of leftist media outlets in the United States.

All of which is to say? It is – and I say it reluctantly – time to get Congress involved, ASAP.

No less than the Constitution and its guaranteed rights of a free press and free speech are at stake.
